Hello Everyone

I'll have to admit first off that I'm not really a goth persay. I dress in black, listen to gothic music, read gothic novels, and watch a lot of Tim Burton, but in equal parts I listen to heavy metal and wear Mastodon t-shirts. I'm probably just as likely to listen to Metallica as Faith and the Muse.
Now, all that said, I personally do love the gothic subculture even if I don't technically fit in it. I guess I'm just saying hi to everyone here. I don't live in an area with many goths (actually, I've never met any around here) and there's really no subculture where I live as far as I can tell, which surprises me since I live in an artsy, college town with plenty punks. Hopefully I can get a better idea what really defines goth here.
