You stare at me as if I'm nothing more than a stranger,
Not your lover.
A look so unusual in your eye,
A look I can't stand to see,
Unbeknown to me, your pain.
I hurt you all over again,
But this time so deep.
It shows in your eyes,
How much pain you've felt.
It causes my heart to melt.
I've done it again,
Although I don't know how.
It's all a great mystery to me,
I've caused you to cry,
I watch as they stream from your eyes.
