This is absolutely beautiful. I hope my husband and I never get to that point, as I love him very much. It's things like this story that make us sit back and think of all the things in the past that we wish we could undo, but can't. Or, like in this case, we make a mistake, but are too stubborn to really realize that it was our fault. Life has a way of turning the best of friends/lovers into enemies if we let it. I agree, treasure each moment and everyone in our lives. Live each day like it's your last, and don't let anything get in the way of your relationships.
