Hey there, batties, I'm fresh back from watching the movie.
Strangerland (2015)
I thoroughly enjoyed it, thought it was a bloody excellent film. Very atmospheric, solid acting and direction, and the story was just delicious.
More than a passing Twin Peaks-ness what with the box, the mother becoming the daughter, the shenanigans with the diary, the looming otherness of the Rainbow Serpent Ngalyod, and much more.
Very enjoyable flick left me thoroughly satisfied, I highly recommend everybody watch it.
By the way, Ngalyod sounds a lot like Naga...
