Cynical Ballads - Special Poem - A Flower

A Flower
not long ago
i met a beautiful flower
growing
in a field of weeds
she was so unhappy
and could not see the sun
so angry at herself
and taking it out
on everyone
she yelled at me
and i listened
she yelled some more
and i listened more
she asked my why
why would i
even care
i said
i understand
i said
you are such a beautiful flower
she said
i want to die
i said
but a flower needs to bloom
she said
that made me cry
then she told me why
i said
your life has been tragic
this is true
and i told her
there is so much more to you
you are a flower growing in the weeds
make sure you bloom and reach for the sun
start today
before your time is done
then over time
i saw this flower grow
she reached the sun
and what a brilliant show
never has there been a flower
so brilliant and bright
every part of her
sparkling in the light
i am so lucky to have had
this chance
to see my flower
laugh
sing
and dance
she tried so hard
to stop me from caring
she knew after all
her time was ending
but still i listened
and listened some more
and i reminded this flower
about her beautiful soul
today i lost
my beautiful flower
i have to admit
its already tough with out her
but she gave me a gift
a chance to see
the love in her heart
she loved
everybody

Written on one of the most painful days i have ever had to endure.
I was a writer once, but I quit and only began again at the wish of a sweet one.
Then she was taken from me and everybody.
Today i post this not for you but for her

but she lives in my heart
and still fills my head
and inspires my art
until my death beds

I am flower...
growing amongst the weeds.
Of lunacy and grief,
of gangsters and thieves.
I live and frolic,
among anxiety and pain.
Of lost and hopelessness
with death i am stained.
Yet you chose to care...
to uproot me from my place!
To change my fate in life,
to debate and plead your case.
at first you failed to heed
the reason why i chose
to suffer with the weeds
to lay with them so close
Your love gave me strength.
to continue with my goals,
no matter how difficult
and gently... i will close.

A Flower. October.
The flower has passed,
Yet the weeds still grow.
The nights get colder
Still no sign of snow.
I hope at least
One seed has fallen
And sleeps through winter.
Until it hears
Spring calling.
How can I wait
Through the darkest nights?
Wait for a chance
To again see your life.
Everything looks dead
In the field you grew.
Just tell me when its time
