I need a new career, preferably one that doesn't involve the words "answer phones", "take messages", or "secretary".

I would -love- to get involved in a training program and go back overseas, but I'm not sure if I could talk the hubby into it, nor am I sure that it's what the Big Guy Upstairs has in mind for us.

Seriously, though, sometimes I miss it so much that I wish I could just get on a plane and go. I know that if I ask the Big Guy for it passionately enough, then it will happen...but I'm still scared that I will crash and burn like last time. That's why I would want more training the second time around, take a course in whatever language I would be surrounded in and possibly even some training techniques in teaching.

Yeah, that would be nice.

Now if I can just talk the hubby into it as well.

I think she was referring to whoever she believes in. God. I might be wrong.

Just a suggestion - if you are able to stick to your job a little longer to save up a small lump of money, then perhaps you could walk into your nearest travel agent and ask if they could list out the available aid trips to places.
That could be maybe a 2 week trip to Nepal, or somewhere in Thailand and other places...
This is something I want to do after I get the money and the time and the head sapce to do it. And because there are 2 week trips which is quite a short time - maybe your partner could go with you ?

But I know you were talking about a career change when you mentioned going overseas. Sorry for commenting with something not so relevant - its just a different option that might be even more exciting (my opinion.)
