Just finished Robert McCammon's Swan Song. Starting Are You Loathsome Tonight? by Poppy Z. Brite. I"m catching up on the stuff by her that I haven't read yet.

Just finished "the Stand" & now am reading "No One Here Gets Out Alive" which is a biography of Jim Morrison. I never knew he was a Mensa-quality genius.

That's nothing, I've got over 50 books at home that I haven't read yet :D

The last book I read was the conclusion of the Soldier Son Trilogy by Robin Hobb. I need to get down to forbidden planet to get another book - probably next weekend.

Just bought "The Vampire Book, Encyclopedia of the Undead" by J. Gordon Melton.

Pretty good reference really, fact, fiction, entertainment and folklore. Can't say Vamps are my thing, but it was on sale for seven bucks and is a fairly interesting book.

Paigeybobert 07-30-2007 07:12 PM

I'm reading Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance for the second time.

Godslayer Jillian 07-30-2007 07:53 PM

^Hey, I'm about to read that book!^
I just have to finish Harry Potter first.

raggedyanne 07-31-2007 12:24 AM

I reread my great grandfather's copy of "The Picture of Dorian Grey." It is still one of my favorite novels.

Having finished Deathly Hallows (and yes, I agree that the epilogue was cheesy! The names are awful...) I'm now reading a John Steinbeck 2-in-1. I've finished Of Mice and Men and have just started Cannery Row, which is quite enjoyable.

I'm working on the new Harry Potter book, great expectations, The Once and Future King, Macbeth, and a book on the crisis in sudan by Don Petterson.

Undead_Stagehand 08-01-2007 08:18 PM

Yes! I love reading multiple books at once. Currently, I have bookmarks in Varney the Vampire, For a Few Demons More, and The Spiderwick Chronicles: The Field Guide. I have to read that last book because my cousin wants to talk about that series with someone.

I'm currently reading the second book of Nora Roberts' Circle Trilogy; Dance of the Gods. I'm not usually into smarmy romance novels, but I started Morrigan's Cross because it's got Vampires, and I got hooked. I do not, however, plan on reading any of her other work. I recently finished ''Stiff'' by Mary Roach (I think?) and it was really good.

Tell us what you think of it when you're done. It seems to be a "Oh, I get it!" or a "Huh?!" book for most people. It's bloody brilliant either way though.
