I just re-read The Shadow Out of Time by H. P. Lovecraft.
The Flowers of Evil by Charles Baudelaire.
A novel called Midwives by Chris Bohjalian.
God's Concubine, Sara Douglass
I *hearts* Sara Douglass |
Apex magazine of science fiction and horror. Pretty cool. My computer seems to be working again at least for now. Weird...
Reading choke by Chuck palahniuk again.
Spiral by Koji Suzuki
Today I finished Everybody Hurts: An Essential Guide To Emo Culture. It gave me a few good laughs.
I'm currently reading: .Dear Diary by Lesley Arfin .The Meaning of Life by Terry Eagleton .Vampires In Their Own Words, and .Poop Culture by Dave Praeger |
I got all three George Carlin books and re-reading them. I'm also re-reading "We've Got The Neutron Bomb:The Untold Story Of LA Punk" for about the 4th time and I'm also re-reading "Burning Britian:The History of UK Punk 1980-1984", that is my bible, over 120 of my favorite bands, with descriptions, the whole 9 yards.
Sounds good. I love reading about punk.
Yes, reading about it and I live the lifestyle too. Don't worry I'm not a crusty............................................ .......................yet.
I need a book to read. I seriously don't know what else to do with my time. :P
"Mary Magdalene, the forbidden goddess of christianity"
by Lynn Picknett |
At the moment, "White Oleander" by Janet Fitch.
Polishing off The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka.
Rotten: No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs.
Its a very very good book on the life of John Lydon (Johnny Rotten). |
"Dark Demon" by Christine Feehan. Quite a refreshing new look at vampires.
Just finished Couplands jPod. Highly disappointed, it was not even 1/10 as good as Microserfs. Avoid if possible.
I'm soon to take up the complete works of Shakespeare and T.S Eliot. Now THAT's going to be fun reading! |
Anne Bishop's Black Jewels trilogy (again).
I loved them the first time I read the series, with that wonderful balance of the fantastical, the political and the horrific, and contains a wonderful, subtle use of the erotic in powerplays and politics as well as for pleasure. |
Hmm - I'm not reading anything at the moment, unless 'Asterix & Obelix' qualify?
Course it does! The Asterix series were great, they're what got me into comics and graphic novels!
*phew* ok then :)
It's still too early in the year for me to delve into the literary masterpieces. I did however come across a wealth of literature on the internet and plan on reading at least one or two works a month. That's about as much as I can handle. |
Would this wealth of literary master pieces by Project Gutenburg, by any chance?
Gutenburg has a *lot* of good stuff on it, as long as the US copyright's run out on it. |
