Greetings

Hi my name is Claire, I'm 33 and Married. Apologies in advance for the lameness of my intro I am no good at doing these things.

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)

Inbetween trips to the Doctors, Chemist and/or Therapists I sit at home and try and look as if I'm doing something.

2. Where are you from?

Adelaide South Australia

3. Who is your favorite author?

Edgar Allan Poe, Shakespeare, Anne Rice, John Saul

4. What are your favorite films?

Rocky Horror Picture Show, Bad Boy Bubby, The Exorcist, The Day After, Requiem for a Dream, Dead Poets Society, The Boys amongst others, these are just the first off the top of my head.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?

I am Married and at our Wedding Reception we played The Cure, The Smiths, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Echo and the Bunnymen, Joy Division and similar. Our Wedding Song was The Ship Song by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

6. At your funeral?

I'll be dead so I don't reckon I'll much care. Whatever helps those I have left behind.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?

Tragically.

8. What kind of casket would you want?

oh just dig a whole and throw me in it.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?

Whatever I feel like wearing at any particular time, although I am rather partial to my lace up boots.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?

Nothing really, nothing I can think of anyway.

11. What's your favorite band?

I like a lot of bands there's not one in particular I could choose. List of bands I do like would include (in no particular order of preference) Specimen, Alien Sex Fiend, Bauhaus, Virgin Prunes, Fields of the Nephilim, The Cure, The Cult, Sisters of Mercy, Nick Cave (Birthday Party and The Bad Seeds), Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Lights of Euphoria, Christian Death, Informtik, Wolfsheim, Snog, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Velvet Underground, Dead Can Dance, Jesus and Mary Chain, Depeche Mode, Seabound, Rotersand, CombiChrist (and so on)

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?

After I finished High School I wanted to go on to Universty study; however, an ongoing illness interfered with my studies and my grades were not good enough, instead I went on to study a Secretarial Certificate and Creative Writing. A number of years later entered University as a mature age Student majoring in Psychology and Screen Studies, however I failed miserably owing to illness once again interfering with my ability to study.

13. Why did you join?

No particular reason.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?

Just in case it wasn't already obvious I am Female.

John Saul...

I remember reading a book in school by him... Shadows I think it was called. I remember it being the only book that I liked that they made us read in 4 years of High School.

What a good reminder... I think I'll have to look into what else he's written.

My sentiments exactly... what's the use of spending money on a metal box if you're dead?

it will be either a biodegradable coffin or cremation for me.

Anywho, welcome.

Thank you for the welcome and I would actually really like to be buried according to the Tibetan custom of having the body cut up and left for animals/birds/nature to feed on and reclaim; however, seeing as that is pretty much illegal in Australia my wishes are to be cremated and have part of my ashes scattered at sea and the other half added to a fertiliser mix and spread over a garden somewhere :)

Well hello there. *merry wave*

John Saul, eh? There's a name I haven't heard for years. Once upon a time I used to love a bit of John Saul action, and now you've made me want to read it again, to see if it's as creepy as I recall. *slaps your wrist*

Welcome!

Good to know I've rekindled a bit of interest in John Saul for a couple of people. I haven't read any of his work for quite sometime myself, might have to pay a visit to the Library soon :) Thank you for the welcome Wise Chlld, it's nice to meet you :)
