Why doesn't your post number go up when posting in the whining section? I think it should. Who agrees?

Meh, it encourages people not to whine to increase post count.

Still, not everything in the Whining section is actually whining.

It must be a new thing, because it used to alter your post count. The admins probably got sick of threads like "show us yer bewbs" and other such ridiculousness.

Who doesn't love boobs? I was just saying that the whining section is getting a little crazy. And yes, I'm with you that it should count.

Yeah, it seems like kind of a ripoff to me, coz I think a lot of people spend a lot of time there without realizing their point count isn't going up. (like me.. >.>)

Back when the usual post in whining was actually about something meaningful, it was my favorite place to hang out. Now, there's really not all that much thats worth posting on, hell, there isn't even much worth READING nowadays.

Awe, it's still about something meaningful once in awhile.. and I dunno, I'm guilty of posting on the threads there that are utter nonsense too. What can I say, it's fun..

I know it can be fun, I just miss the meaningful discussions. Plus, it always gave me an emotional lift to see people helping each other out.

Yeah, you do have a point there. Maybe it will revert back to meaningfulness eventually? I doubt it, but you never know..

With the amount of trolls, idiots, and drama, I'm afeared that g-net might not survive. Or at least not as the place of amicable discussion, banter, and music recomendation. Many of the people I used to enjoy reading from have already left. :(

That sucks majorly.. ): I wish I could say I shared your opinion, but I don't really have any background on it, since I'm fairly new here... but I do think Gnet will survive - at least I really hope so. While the nonsense threads can be fun, meaningful discussion is important too.

Agreed. I really hope it'll make it. We've been getting some good newbies latelly. Maybe it's just one of those things were it just needs some new life injected into it.

I'm pretty sure post counts aren't disabled, because my post count has been rising all the time. I just hadn't posted in a bit.

EDIT: My post count definitely just went up after I posted this.
