New Political Party!

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=182124557078

What do you believe?
We believe that too.

Corpsey 10-24-2009 03:59 PM

I see scientologists and Dead_Man_Walking taking advantage of this...

Alan 10-24-2009 04:01 PM

That is impossible.

DRM 10-24-2009 04:10 PM

What is impossible?

Methadrine 10-24-2009 04:14 PM

I believe you should disband that crap.

ForestMist 10-24-2009 04:16 PM

I bet it won't last a month.

DRM 10-24-2009 04:16 PM

According to the site, that's what they believe too.

Alan 10-24-2009 04:21 PM

It's impossible to believe whenever one says "hey let's believe in this shit"

DRM 10-24-2009 04:31 PM

Of course it is.
The party is kinda a joke, kinda me seeing who would actually join it.

And so far the line "We belive that too!" has worked for it.

Still Jack 10-25-2009 06:26 AM

It has 17 members...

skoteinh 10-26-2009 12:42 AM

Well, now it has 24.

It kinda reminds me of the film 'Die Welle'. It's creepy.

DRM 10-26-2009 04:06 AM

I've never heard of that movie, is it good?

skoteinh 10-26-2009 05:29 AM

Yes, I liked it very much. It has similarities with Das Experiment, but I think it's more close to home.

A teacher [who is very left-wing] tries to demonstrate the effects of totalitarian regimes to his class, by conducting a little experiment. Then things go out of control.

It sort of demonstrates how people react to and are influenced by dictatrorial regimes.

More info here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1063669/

Look for "The Wave", the book that the movie is based off of. Look for 'The Third Wave" also, which is the actual event that the book is based off of.

Thanks! I was aware of the book, but I haven't read it yet.

Oh, and KMD, would you please take the time to introduce yourself? Thank you.

There is a thread in the introductions forum about homeschooled goths, me being one, I just kinda introduced myself in there. If that's not cool, I can make a new thread if you would like.

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm making one anyway.

DRM 10-26-2009 01:51 PM

Oh oh oh!
That sounds like a book my Writer's Workshop teacher was talking about the other day.

PortraitOfSanity 11-02-2009 09:33 AM

I was gonna bash this unmercifully, like I usually do to almost everything, but I have to admit it's actually kinda witty. Especially coming from a 17(?) year old...

Malice In Wonderland 11-02-2009 02:23 PM

I read The Wave and it scared ten shades of blue and black shit out of me.
Do wanna see the film(s.)

vindicatedxjin 11-02-2009 02:27 PM

Oh shit I didn't even know there were films...the book was amazing...and scary considering it was true.

SweetJane 11-02-2009 04:30 PM

The first time I chilled with my best friend we watched that movie. It's incredible... well... if you can get past the shitty acting and everything.

Renatus 11-02-2009 05:02 PM

Hmm who knows, it might work, just look at "John Jacob Jingleheimer" Schmidt and how successful it is with it's philosophy of "his name is my name too".
