Apex magazine of science fiction and horror. Pretty cool. My computer seems to be working again at least for now. Weird...

MirrorsAndMonoxide 01-02-2008 05:48 PM

Today I finished Everybody Hurts: An Essential Guide To Emo Culture. It gave me a few good laughs.

I'm currently reading:
.Dear Diary by Lesley Arfin
.The Meaning of Life by Terry Eagleton
.Vampires In Their Own Words, and
.Poop Culture by Dave Praeger

Stormtrooper of Death 01-02-2008 06:02 PM

I got all three George Carlin books and re-reading them. I'm also re-reading "We've Got The Neutron Bomb:The Untold Story Of LA Punk" for about the 4th time and I'm also re-reading "Burning Britian:The History of UK Punk 1980-1984", that is my bible, over 120 of my favorite bands, with descriptions, the whole 9 yards.

MirrorsAndMonoxide 01-02-2008 06:04 PM

Sounds good. I love reading about punk.

Stormtrooper of Death 01-02-2008 06:14 PM

Yes, reading about it and I live the lifestyle too. Don't worry I'm not a crusty............................................ .......................yet.

Its a very very good book on the life of John Lydon (Johnny Rotten).

Darcnyss 01-09-2008 02:09 AM

"Dark Demon" by Christine Feehan. Quite a refreshing new look at vampires.

Methadrine 01-09-2008 04:07 AM

Just finished Couplands jPod. Highly disappointed, it was not even 1/10 as good as Microserfs. Avoid if possible.

I'm soon to take up the complete works of Shakespeare and T.S Eliot. Now THAT's going to be fun reading!

Delkaetre 01-09-2008 05:06 AM

Anne Bishop's Black Jewels trilogy (again).
I loved them the first time I read the series, with that wonderful balance of the fantastical, the political and the horrific, and contains a wonderful, subtle use of the erotic in powerplays and politics as well as for pleasure.

Nevan 01-09-2008 05:08 AM

Hmm - I'm not reading anything at the moment, unless 'Asterix & Obelix' qualify?

Delkaetre 01-09-2008 05:12 AM

Course it does! The Asterix series were great, they're what got me into comics and graphic novels!

Nevan 01-09-2008 05:16 AM

*phew* ok then :)

It's still too early in the year for me to delve into the literary masterpieces. I did however come across a wealth of literature on the internet and plan on reading at least one or two works a month. That's about as much as I can handle.

Delkaetre 01-09-2008 05:20 AM

Would this wealth of literary master pieces by Project Gutenburg, by any chance?
Gutenburg has a *lot* of good stuff on it, as long as the US copyright's run out on it.

Nevan 01-09-2008 05:24 AM

Uhm no, I don't think so - but I'll check that out.
