share your pain babies.

hello my lovelies,

i just thought i would start a thread as i was talking to several of my goth/alternative friends and found that the one united link we shared was chronic pain...

i found this interesting and thought it would be useful to find out how many of you live your lives under the shadow of pain...

me? chronic joint pain and daily nausea...

you?

mother is listening, share your pain babies...

Alan 04-24-2012 04:52 PM

what the fuck

shadowynne 04-24-2012 05:23 PM

simple as it sounds... nothing more, nothing less...

Murder.Of.Crows 04-24-2012 07:18 PM

This, roughly.

I got hit by a car last year. Broke my knee, shredded a few important ligaments. I'm really not going to enjoy the next 60 years limping around.

yeah a real joy isnt it...

and twitch you have my sympathies. at the age of 25 i was using a walking stick to get around, sure, looks cool, and you get goth points and all. but what a hassle, especially airport schenanigins.

You know your thread is inane when Alan doesn't dignify it with punctuation.

Elystan 05-07-2012 04:37 AM

Is it inane because it doesn't address the concerns of non-whites?

Versus 05-07-2012 05:58 AM

What? Those threads were actually about racism and sexism within the context of an organization, so it was relevant to bring that up.

You should actually read them. You might learn something. Or at the very least, be exposed to people who have learned something so that you don't have an excuse to be so fucking ignorant everyday of your life.

sorry to hear that Twitch.

Buldging discs. Buggered wrists and right knee. And a terrible sense of humour.

Ignorance is bliss

Try some painkillers.About 12 million Americans—about 1 in 20 teenagers and adults—use prescription painkillers in a way that's not prescribed.

shadowynne 05-09-2012 12:31 AM

yep, because a couple aspirin fixes eeeeeeverything...

ever had a migraine? a real one? you go ahead and find an over the counter remedy that works.

heh, in any case im not really talking about the odd stiff neck or a scraped knee, or any of lifes little irritants that apparently you have been lucky to have only suffered.

im talking about real pain, stuff that nags and haunts you, the kind of shit that some ibuprofren cant touch...

Solumina 05-09-2012 10:16 AM

Painkillers are the last thing you want to use for migraines, over the counter or prescription, they will either be completely ineffective or cause rebound pain, what you want are muscle relaxers.

Grausamkeit 05-21-2012 09:56 PM

I don't own any 'pain babies'. Is there a place you go to collect yours?

shadowynne 05-22-2012 12:00 PM

well i usually get mine from the local crackhouse, but since the last bust i have been having terrible times getting them, thats why i need you guys to share yours...

Grausamkeit 05-22-2012 02:57 PM

Damn, I guess they're getting hard to come by!

:p

mindless1 06-10-2012 04:05 PM

Pain babies? I don't have babies, but that would be a pain.

I can't think of anything that *hurts* right now. I do have both muscle relaxants and oxycontin. I don't know what for; I guess I'm stocking up in case of a Nuclear war.

The Passage 06-25-2012 12:31 AM

Mm.. yeah, my "pain" probably isn't as physically painful as being hit by a car? But it sure feels like that, emotionally and mentally. In a nutshell, I really want a vagina but I got a penis instead. Talk about fucked up...

:(

Minyaliel 06-25-2012 06:58 AM

Chronic pain bitch = me. My arms are totally fucked up with chronic tendonitis after years of back- combing my death hawk (oh, the irony!), playing musical instruments and overdoing it in the crafts department (can't stop knitting, it's an obsession). I'm ready to bet that my liver is going to be fucked by the time I'm middle aged due to all the "remedies" and pain killers my doctor prescribes me for this shit.

honeythorn 07-05-2012 10:45 AM

Had to have a back tooth out >.< It's just a bit sore now thankfully. The tooth in front of it was giving me a right old load of gyp. I couldn't even bite anything soft like fresh bread, or a banana. REALLY sensitive to pressure.

And yesterday I got the most horrendous lightning bolt of pain shoot through it. I nearly threw up. So I made an appointment and went to the dentist this morning.

He xrayed my teeth and said that the tooth I thought it was, was fine and that it was actually my little short tooth behind it that was the problem, and that the pain was probably "referred" over to the next one via the nerves.

So hopefully now it's out, I will be able to bite on the right side again in a couple of days when it's settled.

About the same thing happened to me Twitch, got hit by a car a couple of years back, broke my upper leg, and now I have a implanted metal piece/brace in my leg I dont know if I can get out again. I have trouble running long distances or walking for that matter without it gradually hurts so much to the point, where I look like a freakin' Zombie roaming around in the streets (If I walked home from a club downtown, for example).

I feel a stabbing pain in the deepest darkest recesses of my soul. It hurts
