Come see my fucking play.

If you have time to browse the gothic.net boards, you have time to come see an original play by the most significant member thereof. This masterpiece is called Ghost of Dracula, and it magnifies everything you love about gnet-- bullshit high school drama, excessive verbosity, and vampires-- to such a titanic scale that the sum of blueblood.com's annual budgets for every year until the sun explodes could not meet the cost of its bandwidth. Plus, no banner adds and you don't have to BYOB.
If you live in New York City, or anywhere on the eastern seaboard of the North American continent for that matter, your absence from this event is inexcusable. Pick a Saturday in February, or preferably all four (6th, 13th, 20th, 27th), and come to the Wings Theatre (154 Christopher Street) at 11:45-- because I'm strongest at the witching hour.

Buy tickets here: http://www.smarttix.com/show.aspx?showcode=GHO6

As part of a SPECIAL GNET OFFER, you can PM me for a $2 discount code.

Bumpan over spam.

I would if it was feasible [I -love- good theater!], but I can't; don't have the funds. ='( Break a leg, though!

Are you going to record this masterpiece and put it online somewhere so those of us isolated in the cornfed midwest can feel as privileged as those living in New York?

Despanan 01-20-2010 08:43 AM

I'd love to check it out. Is it a musical?

No such plans as yet. I would love to bring the Ghost of Dracula experience to as many as possible, but its nature is such that to present it outside the immediacy and live space of a theatre would cheat both the work and the potential audience of a taped version.

Ghost of Dracula transcends the conventional binary of 'musical' and 'not a musical'.

Tam Li Hua 01-20-2010 12:03 PM

There's always YouTube. ;] j/k

Apathy's_Child 01-20-2010 01:35 PM

I might just try and roll by. And by roll by, I mean spend 2 hours on a train to go see a play called Ghost of fucking Dracula.

Seriously, dude...... you will owe me some hardcore drugs after the show.

gothicusmaximus 02-03-2010 06:40 AM

Bumping for opening weekend. I've been watching some full dress rehearsals, and I have to say, my own genius fucking staggers me sometimes.

Underwater Ophelia 02-03-2010 07:14 AM

I may actually come to see this.

There's beer, nyou say?

blindNsect 02-03-2010 07:52 AM

So this is basically just a Soapbox Thread?

Underwater Ophelia 02-03-2010 08:01 AM

I'll be there! Plans are made, GM!

JCC 02-03-2010 08:46 AM

Someone has to record it.

I thought the same thing. If someone gets it recorded we could upload it somewhere or have it torrented. GM could control the link the to download or the torrent if he wanted to limit its availability (assuming everyone doesn't share the link regardless.)

blindNsect 02-03-2010 09:14 AM

If the quality sucks, don't bother.

I am advertising my show, in the forum set aside for advertising.

As for the recording, I'll talk with my peeps about it.

gothicusmaximus 08-03-2010 08:32 AM

Ghost of Dracula returns in two weeks, as part of the New York International Fringe Festival.

Be it known, this show isn't screwing around anymore. My play is ready to settle down and tenderly skullfuck you every night for the rest of your life, as long as you're down for the occasional threesome with the last 2000 years of theatre.

Tam Li Hua 08-03-2010 08:34 AM

If I was anywhere even remotely close to NYC, I would -definitely- come see the show. =)

Despanan 08-19-2010 12:14 PM

We genuinely don't know who is responsible. This play enjoys widespread popularity within the asshole community.
Regardless, I don't think Weeds' viewership will take a hit.
