Zdravo, Iva. Dobro Dosli! Kako si? Tell us a little about yourself. What books do you read? What music do you listen to? Help everyone get to know you.

Signe 05-25-2008 10:35 AM

Welcome Iva! Yeah, I don't care for people who judge and classify people as this or that, you are what you are and wear what you wear! I dress quite gothic now, but when I was a child, I was interested in the goth style, though I did not dress like it, either.

Hmm Signe very nice profile picture. Your recent posts seem to indicate you've reformed your behavior so because of this, you're off my ignore list.

As for the newcomer welcome, please give us more details about yourself as Lizzie said. I hope you're willing to learn more of goth during your stay here.

Signe I agree with Renatus, but you never were on my ignore list, and to the OP, welcome!

I do believe she will become a keeper.

If you like punk, then be glad to hear that Goth is an evolution of punk rock. Look up the bands Bauhaus (Love and Rockets as well), The Sisters of Mercy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Nick Cave and The Cure.

There is a string of metal that has 'goth' influences and is known as Gothic Metal. Might look up Lucuna Coil, Sirenia, Theater of Tragedy and Silentium. Some Japanese rock takes elements of both post-Punk (goth) and metal and incorporates them into their music, though I'm not terribly familiar with these bands, outside of X Japan.
