Are you very familiar with handguns?
|
I know this question isn't directed at me. But what kind of handguns are we talking about?
|
Single stack semi-autos.
|
I've only messed around with double stacks and revolvers.
|
That's okay. I'm looking for a CCW/PD option, so that's why I specify single stack. I feel that anything larger is too chunky for my purpose.

Do you know anything about Sigs? I'm just curious about the price point. I understand that they manufacture very high quality, but I want to understand what specifically is better. I can understand something like the difference between a GI model 1911 and something typical of Kimber or Wilson Combat. When I look at them, I can say "Okay, I'm paying for the beaver tail grip safety, the skeletonized hammer and trigger, the Novak sights, the extended thumb safety, the heavy springs, ect."
But I'm not familiar enough to see the difference between a Sig and a Glock or a XD. |
the best thing i could say is by other peoples opinions. The sig sounds more reliable and easier to get accustomed to. But, I also know glocks have a pretty good rep as well. The best thing i think, is to head to a firing range and ask to use one of their Glocks and Sigs to see which one is more comfortable for you.

The only one I'm familiar with is the 9mm service pistol.
It was kind of underwhelming. |
Comfort is a non-issue to me because training can overcome it. I would never buy a Glock, though. They make a superior pistol, but it conflicts with the cool factor. Their slides and grip angles just look stupid and un-American.
I'm just looking for a break down of a Sig's price. Quote:
