Seriously, with the buzz cut your appearance suggests a basement-dwelling, mouth-breathing replica pistol collector, and your long hair makes even that look like a tonsorial triumph, but with a shaven head you sort of resemble a way fatter Michael Chiklis. With that haircut, I could almost take you seriously, provided you were kicking me out of a bar or something.

Have you ever shaven your head that close though? It is really uncomfortable, cold and with my skin it is painful too I am afraid.

I've been told that the soreness recedes over time, if you keep shaving.

I'm not decided. Depends whether you'd rather be taken for angry or a wow-junkie, I guess.

It's actually because I suffer from psoriasis.
Exposing it to wind and weather is painful. Neither do I actually wish to look like a bouncer. I do not want to draw in violence.

TR - My dad and brother both used to have Psoriasis, and keeping their heads shaved ( not right to the scalp with a razor though, just a grade 1 ) really helped it. Gets air to your scalp and so on. My dad used to use Coal Tar soap as well.

Shaving your head with a razor right down to the skin like that would indeed be painful, as you're dragging a razorblade over a sensitive skin condition. Then the hair has to push through the very top layer of skin plus the excess caused by your psoriasis. I'm not surprised it hurt!!

Just leave it very short grade 1. It suits you :)

I think the expression you're toting has a lot to do with the impression, hard to say whether it factors in more heavily than the (lack of) hair.

Kor - man that is some hair cut. I did a similar thing - except my hair was only down to the middle of my back, and I only had it cut boy short, when I was 16.

My father nearly died, because in our house girls had long hair, by the time I dyed my hair purple when I was 18 he was used to my crazy ways.

I taught babybat how to climb a fence.

We were so cool that day - sitting on the fence, checking out the cars going past, waiting for the chickybabes, so we could flirt with them. The ladies do not stand a chance with babybat. He's a smooth operator! (God knows where he gets it from - definately not either of his parents)

Didn't help that I didn't have a trimmer either. 4 hours of scissors and razor blades.
I spent 2 5-bladed razor heads on it and had to sharpen my scissor along the way. My hair is very thick.
But I'm glad you think it suits me =) I am not sure what I am gonna do yet.
I have some time to think on it, so that's good.

Interesting, and I can respect that. Not many guys I know would pass up on being taken more seriously on account of looking tougher than they really are.
