1 sort of 180 barrel roll thing and 2 rolls across the ground.

*Twitch 08-24-2010 09:45 AM

Daaaamn, I hope everyone walked away man.

Still Jack 08-24-2010 10:11 AM

Yeah, Samuel and I walked away, there was no-one else in the car, but now Samuels sister is saying I'm a complete moron without even knowing the details.

*Twitch 08-24-2010 10:18 AM

Good to hear that everyone was okay. That happens a lot. Nobody hit you so automatically you have to be an idiot. Swerve to miss someone/thing?

Still Jack 08-24-2010 11:04 AM

Diesel on the road kicked the back out and sent me spinning into a field.

Saya 08-24-2010 12:25 PM

And thats why I'm afraid of driving.

Well that's all that happened to the car then? Pretty good.

You don't have to be afraid of driving. You just have to deal with the consequences of driving. I've even got my advanced drivers certificate, but you can never plan ahead for shit like that.

Catch 08-27-2010 05:16 AM

There are enough problems with n00b drivers here, glad you live somewhere else. :)

Yes, chips and salsa on the table. What else? Mexican food, and what great food it is! SLURP!

carakitty 08-27-2010 09:05 PM

Aw, he's a cutie, HP! Thanks for sharing! Must say though, I'm real glad my daughter's already up in bed. I think we'd have a Gnet babybats crush made if she saw him! ;)

HumanePain 08-27-2010 09:13 PM

Aw thanks! He does like girls; at the restaurant we were at in the last photo, there were a couple of young ladies in a nearby booth and he went right up to them and started talking to them! He does that every where in public, an outgoing kid! He's a smoothie!

carakitty 08-27-2010 09:30 PM

Aw :)
My daughter's pretty outgoing too, and even precocious at times!
Some of the things she says should not be coming out of a six year old's mouth!

Fruitbat 08-27-2010 09:49 PM

HPDane's a cutie. Babybat was waving at his photo and having a chat to him.
they do grow up too quickly.

The Divine Ms. M 08-28-2010 01:30 AM

great pics Humane...he reminds me a bit of those pics you put up of you as a kid...:)

HumanePain 08-28-2010 10:05 PM

OK, so now that the Gnet women folk had their sugar, time for the guys to get some toys: Humane's garage! I inherited quite a few tools, books and whatnot from my late father and had to make two trips to bring down all the stuff, and still need to make one more trip. Yes, my father was a hoarder, but since he hoarded tools, well, I can imagine some of the guys saying, "you lucky bastard!". (To be sure, I miss my father terribly, he was a great dad, but I am still glad he left me a ton of tools!)

The grand view of the Atlas metal lathe and some of the other tools mounted on pegboard:

My older vacuum tube oscilloscopes (except for the Bell&Howell 2nd from left) :

and the best one: the Tektronix 400 MHz dual channel:

Next Spring I go back for the Shopmaster. I will have to rent a trailer to bring it home and hire some day laborers to get it on and off the trailer and into the garage. Mrs. Humane is rolling her eyes already.

I love my life!

Fruitbat 08-28-2010 11:37 PM

Sweet lathe HP. What do you use the oscilloscopes for?

Sometimes I feel like I was born the wrong sex - maybe it was because my dad had four daughters, that I ended up being the petrol head girl who likes working on cars, and playing with tools in the shed. My father had a 1918 wood lathe (it was beautiful), that used to shake the entire shed when it started up. I used to love sitting on a stool in his shed watching him turn the parts for his model boats.

I am sure you already know that you may disregard whatever sex you were born to enjoy mechanical things and tools. Look at all the women during World War II who built and flew planes, bombs, tanks etc. Besides, shops need more women, makes the work shop environment titillating!

I use the scopes to troubleshoot other vacuum tube equipment. I enjoy restoring other scopes, radios, reel to reel tape recorders whatever runs on tubes!

korinna5555 08-29-2010 10:28 AM

Holy crap, HP.. I remember when he was BORN. He's gotten so big!!! :)

Shop class was one of my favorite classes in middle school, but I got kicked out for correcting the instructor. He didn't know what he was talking about, to the extent of things being unsafe

Geoluhread 08-29-2010 03:05 PM

HP, your grandson is so adorable!!!

Fruitbat 08-29-2010 11:43 PM

HP - I've never let being a girl hold me back ;) My mum filled a coal boiler during the war.

Cool 'toys' ;)

korinna5555 08-30-2010 02:07 PM

Louisville Zombie Walk, 2010. I had a blast.
