Alan Tudyk just joined Twitter. Alan is best known for his role from Firefly/Serenity as Hoban (Hey, I've been in a firefight before ... well, I was in a fire ... actually, I was fired ... from a fry-cook opportunity. I can handle myself.) "Wash" Washburn.

Here's an example tweet:

"My dog Raisin is so cute when she sleeps, I put Nyquill in her water bowl just so I can love her the most."

LMAO!

Also, here's this:

"@NathanFillion - I kin reed. Its riting I have truble with. wut an ashul."

Ahahaha!

*for those that have to ask - yes, that was sarcasm*

Look at it this way, when sports leagues usually start there's a problem of a few teams consistently dominating all others, and most women's leagues are young. There was a lot of talk after the last winter Olympics that we should get rid of women's hockey because it always comes down to the US and Canada. So Japan not only got further than any other Asian team by getting the semi finals, but they won the cup! It shakes it up a lot, makes the sport more interesting and its less of a justification to dismiss women's sports.

Plus, those penalty shots were abysmal, America.

Ben Lahnger 07-17-2011 09:03 PM

So, hurrah for the team with better penalty shot results!

*more sarcasm ... in case it wasn't nakedly obvious*

Saya 07-17-2011 09:28 PM

Still sore about it? XD The penalty shots were terrible, but there was a ton of missed shots in the game as well. Japan plays better tactically, the American team was more relying on being bigger and stronger, you know? Kick the ball as hard as you can and hope for the best, which is probably why the ball kept going over the net.

Besides, America got to the finals by beating Brazil in a penalty shoot out. They've relied on having better penalty shot results before :P

Is anyone else turned on when Saya talks about sports?

Please don't say it's just me.

Saya 07-17-2011 09:34 PM

Well, now I have more ideas of what to say during pillow talk XD

In this instance, it's definitely just you.

*tearing up* .... Especially when she's betraying the great tradition of U.S./Canada solidarity ... you know, "North America all the way!"

*crying* ... I can never look at Canucks the same way again! *sob*

Ben Lahnger 07-18-2011 05:54 AM

By the way, Saya, I'm with you on this ...

... in that, even though I was a little heart-broken by the U.S. women's loss, it has got to be a great inspiration and perhaps even a bit of a balm to the people of Japan while they are engaged in recovering from the quake, tsunami and Fukishima Nuclear plant disaster. It's a lot like when the New Orleans Saints won the American football championship after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina ... that moment gave a lot of people in tragic, desperate straits some hope and a moment of joy.

So I'm not hatin'. The women from Japan deserved to win. More importantly, I think their country needed it.

Saya and Versus' incessant flirting makes me sick, I said I had won a dance battle, which is impressive and deserves praise, and it was ignored in favour of those two making googly eyes at each other. All in favour of banning these shameless displays of lust say I.

I.

It used to be worse. For a while, it seemed like the majority of new threads would degenerate into the two of us and maybe a random g.net member making passes at eachother. I'm upset because a friend in my platoon died in a firefight last friday night, so I haven't been talking to her otherwise. It'll pass.

But until then,

Kittens fucking rule.

Saya 07-18-2011 11:32 AM

Men with kittens trump dance battles any day.

And I got a job interview tomorrow, finally! Eeeee.

Versus 07-18-2011 11:39 AM

She has clearly never seen a dance battle.

Saya 07-18-2011 12:14 PM

Since its JCC I was picturing something like this:

Versus 07-18-2011 12:18 PM

And can you break down what, exactly, about that isn't awesome?

Didn't think so.

Saya 07-18-2011 12:28 PM

No kittens!

Versus 07-18-2011 12:53 PM

You're flirting with me, again. It's making JCC sick.

Saya 07-18-2011 01:00 PM

We're building up his immunity! Its for his own good.

Versus 07-18-2011 01:05 PM

But he doesn't know what "kittens" is code for. He'll take it literally.

Saya 07-18-2011 01:13 PM

fair enough, but I'm not explaining that to a kid.

Versus 07-18-2011 01:17 PM

I'm sure he's heard about safety words from school, or maybe his friends.

Alan 07-18-2011 06:45 PM

Enter the club with a pretty girl.
Pretty girl doesn't really like me.
Walk out with a prettier girl.

What I like about this photo is how the kitten is totally owning both of you... just look at that stance.. that kitten knows who's the boss!

Versussorry to hear about your loss.
