I'm gonna chalk not getting that up to listening to Air Supply while I was drunk bringing down my IQ last night....

Versus, drink of Champs, dude. ;)

Also, someone down there likes me. I thought I was going to have a test in Math today, but the teacher emailed eveyone letting us know to come to class because she forgot to go over one last section today. A rare review in A&P Lecture and my Lab teacher got me a course ID for extra studying cuz he's awesome like that. :)

Aaaaaaand Crown doesn't give me hangovers.

So what you're saying is, you have a banana hammock as the possibility of said picture would require access to one?

I might teach a class on Gilles Deleuze by next year or the end of this year. For pay. Fuck yeah.

MissCheyenne 09-15-2011 02:28 PM

That's really cool Alan, where would you be teaching?

Kasdeja 09-15-2011 04:10 PM

Having unconditional love from my shelter kitty. He knows he got a second chance. I'll have to post a pic of him as soon as I can get one off my camera and show my Malachi off.

Being able to talk to my friend visiting from the Czech Republic. She and her husband and daughter are in the country. I may be able to see them next Saturday.

Solumina 09-16-2011 05:08 PM

The fantastic nap that I took.

HEADS UP!

The "Austin City Limits" Music Festival is being live-cast on YouTube this weekend (Sept. 16-18) ... for FREE!!!

http://www.youtube.com/aclfestival

Coldplay is playing right now. Yeah, I know, too mainstream for most of this crowd. Some of the earlier, lesser-known bands were pretty interesting though.

Also, I follow a local movie theater on Twitter that does some art-house and interactive movie themed events all the time. Today they tweeted that in October they were going to be showing some double-features that might be of interest to superhero fans, starting with Hellboy 2: The Golden Army and Darkman.

So I tweeted back and said that a twin bill featuring Superman: The Movie (The Director's Cut) and Superman 2: The Richard Donnar Cut, shown back-to-back, would be movie magic.

They tweeted back and said "This fall you are going to be very happy."

HELL YEAH! I am so stoked!

My favorite philosophy professor is starting up an institute, Dewey-style.

MissCheyenne 09-17-2011 12:23 AM

That's pretty sweet Alan, what kind of age range would you be teaching to?

Finally got the internet hooked up after moving.

All of them. The core guys of the group are all grownups and they feel confident they can attract a decent amount of people from their age group; the type of grown-up that can say "I have made a decent living as an engineer, but I'm really interested in this weekend class that combines engineering with aesthetics"
I, on the other hand, am focused on seeing how to attract people my age, as they are the ones who taking a seminar on Deleuze wouldn't simply be something to do on an early Saturday afternoon but rather a stepping stone for new ideas on their field and a different approach to how they see politics and society. Yet they're also the ones who probably won't be able to pay a hundred bucks for a two month seminar.

this happens to me all the time, except I just need to go out into nature. Being outside was the only way I survived my pschyo sister.

The beautiful weather today. It is totally awesome. Was out fixing up an irrigation system, planting the vegie garden. Spring has sprung and it's fantastic.

Watching the 1979 film `The Wanderers` (I`m sure Ben knows this one) after a very long time, and remembering how good it was !!!. :)

MissCheyenne 09-21-2011 03:31 PM

We've been allocated 3 night carers and two day carers a week. We only asked for one night and the two days so to get extra is amazing. It's all being paid for by the NHS so we don't have to worry about even more extra costs right now. It's totally made my day and my whole week :)

Grausamkeit 09-21-2011 03:54 PM

That is kick ass, MissC. Let me make you a screwdriver! Wait, I'll drink one for you, instead.

wolf moon 09-21-2011 04:08 PM

I made completely paleo ice cream. It was amazing. And I've really missed ice cream.
