On a simular note I'm hoping to see Municipal Waste and PHOBIA in concert! Awesome!!!

I was hoping someone might have heard of them and said if they were good to see. I am lucky we have 2 great places to see bands, though the majority of them are tribute bands they do sneak in some who perform their own stuff usually as warm up bands for the tribute acts.

Will try my best to take some pics.

Stormtrooper of Death 11-25-2009 07:21 AM

Looking forward to some pics.

Charlie Harper (Subs singer) has been at it since 77, so he's a great showman, even at his older age.

Anarasha 11-25-2009 08:06 AM

Despite being a beginner at the guitar still, I got to play solo guitar at Iron Man after I crashed a music lesson that happened to need a guitarist.

Tam Li Hua 11-25-2009 08:49 AM

Knowing this is the last day of work before T-day holiday.

I can not wait till Saturday night now, is it too early to start getting excited? Oh well too late I already am.

Malice In Wonderland 11-25-2009 09:24 AM

Never too early.
What type of venue are you seeing them in?

Anarasha 11-25-2009 10:52 AM

Second thing to make my day today was when I was browsing Youtube, I found this expression "Eargasm" that really cracked me up

solanine 11-25-2009 10:53 AM

The place is called The Queen's Hall http://www.queenshall.net/index.php. It classes itself as a rock pub, bands tend to play upstairs on a Friday or Saturday 8-9pm and downstairs on a Sunday usually around 5-6pm. I love it such a mix of people go in there and the walls are covered in posters plus the drinks are not expensive and tickets are usually around £6 but if a group of you go they reduce the price to around £4.

Corpsey 11-26-2009 09:52 PM

Getting home, exhausted and the first song I put on happens to be a beautiful bluesy song called "Forever broke". Not only was it soothing but the title ironically reminded me of the whole day.

SiouxsiePernova 11-27-2009 04:55 AM

I am one day closer to receiving my grades.

lucretia_ 11-27-2009 05:19 AM

That's a lame cop out. It's like calling the sunrise a miracle.

lucretia_ 11-27-2009 05:49 AM

A lame cop out?

You obviously do not have children then, and if that is you in the avatar then I can see why.

Please explain how my son making my day likens to the sunrise being a miracle...

Corpsey 11-27-2009 10:58 AM

She's someone who came here to parody people. Her avatar is a parody too.

Because he is is a part of your everyday life and makes your day every day he could be likened to someone who stares at a sunrise/sunset every day.

However, if he is just starting to talk I'm certain I can see how that would make your day all the time.

lucretia_ 11-27-2009 01:14 PM

oh, how nice.

Well, some people obviously have nothing better to do...

Anyone who has a child will know that even just seeing your child smile will make your day every day. My son is my life!

I was just on Texts From Last Night and found this gem:

(704) I decided to name her "day after thanksgiving" because I am sure I just got someone elses leftovers.

Tam Li Hua 11-27-2009 11:11 PM

Knowing I had today off.

Also, reclaiming the rest of my sex drive from the Paxil. *evil grin*

I_Zik 11-28-2009 02:26 PM

Seeing someone trip on flat ground and fall when I was downtown today.

Lord Whiskerton 11-28-2009 05:43 PM

I did my Christmas shopping and got pretty good deals on body sprays and scented lotions. I'm gonna make gift bags out of these.

Methadrine 11-29-2009 03:02 AM

Todays early morning wakeup call definitely made my day. 'nuff said.

honeythorn 11-29-2009 03:08 AM

Seeing the scales at 13 stone 10. Which means I've officially lost 3 stone so far.

skoteinh 11-29-2009 11:08 AM

vindicatedxjin 11-29-2009 11:41 AM

honeythorn 11-29-2009 12:55 PM

Clearing out the area under a fish tank stand ( loads of crap that needed organising ) and finding the installation disc for my MP3 player which I had honestly thought I'd lost! ( I used it on the old PC , then lost it and when we got this PC I couldn't fnd it to put new music on )

So now I can once more put fresh tracks on my mp3! YAAAY!

Methadrine 11-29-2009 04:47 PM

I just had a hilariously fun moment. I work rather late at sundays, usually get home around 1 o'clock, but today I got home even later. So, there I am, serenely walking home under a beautiful full moon with cigarette in hand, shades on even if it's dark and this utterly drunk person comes stumbling along on the sidewalk opposite me. Then he stops, looks funnily at me and then shouts at the top of his lungs "HEY, ANDREW! MAH MAAAAN!" and then staggers over and starts to have a rather amusing conversation with me, all in english even if we don't speak english in this godforsaken country, utterly convinced I was Andrew Eldritch and going on and on how "I" influenced his life. He must've been severely drunk to not know that Von today is rather old and bald.. and not a citizen of bastardized Sweden. anyway, it was fun. Second thing this day that utterly and completely made my day. Sent him off home with the promise of a new record 'as soon as I get home', blatantly stolen from one of the german Offbeat interviews.

What are the odds of this thing happening, eh? Bloody marvelous.

the-nihilist 11-29-2009 05:00 PM

This here bottle of Jack Daniels.

Stormtrooper of Death 11-30-2009 07:49 AM

Remembering how great Exit Stance and The System are. Let's hear it for smaller UK anarcho punk bands.

That's win.

What made my day : hanging out at J-Fs with frank and this crazy Belgian dude J-F met at uni. Add alcohol, Drum 'n' bass records, turntables and a balcony, hilarity will ensue.

Lord Whiskerton 11-30-2009 01:39 PM

Walking home in the rain, while listening to swing jazz on my ipod.

I really want to hang out with you.

Anyway, my friend came over to my house today and woke me up with "Part of The Union" by the Strawbs. Then he made me help him move, which is ok since he doesn't have that much stuff.

What band were you listening to? What would you describe swing Jazz as?

Finding this song made my day.

(Bad Dog, No Biscuits)

Some Benny Goodman and Count Basie. Swing Jazz is jazz that was popular in America in the 30's. It's got a pretty fast tempo and is very danceable. It's also very similar to Big Band.

Malice In Wonderland 11-30-2009 02:33 PM

I dragged Alex and Nick up to the shop during out break and proceeded to gorge myself on pot noodle and wind up some guy I don't actually know but took an instant disliking to.

Oh and I went to the city to book my lip scalpelling and ended up buying Civil War as well.

DRM 11-30-2009 02:35 PM

I was able to truthfully tell him that I did not care.
:]
And now, I'm happy I can move on.

Malice In Wonderland 11-30-2009 02:46 PM

Brick him in the face.
Then you can move on laughing.

This creep in my class was whining about how her computer is broken, but she can't bother me online for now. She can't really bother any other classmates. I guess that's made my day.

carakitty 11-30-2009 05:05 PM
