that's a hard one.
first, it would depend on the quality of life. does the aging process slow exponentially in order to make those 250 years somewhat functional. i wouldn't want to be a pile of dust with eyeballs if i chose the surgery.
second, i think it would be difficult to watch everyone i've ever cared about die off time and again, for almost three generations - especially my kids. that would hurt.
a lot.
then again - the chance is only 10 per cent. as long as the alternative isn't immediate death - a 90 % chance - then i guess i'd go through with it and take my chances. i'd like to see where this world is a century from now.
