I think you mean this as an insult but I think it's actually apt. Cheesy B-level stuff is fun if you take it for what it is. It's when people start taking it seriously as high art that they look stupid. It's like me trying to argue that Hammer horror films are cinematic masterpieces. That would show a lack of knowledge about cinema as well as a certain low taste level. Music appreciation really isn't that much different.
