English people share your language. People from the UK are probably very much aware of how fierce the opposition to the neo-con agenda amongst Americans really is; the problem I referred to starts with a language-barrier.
Wrong. A huge amount of people here are prejudiced towards Americans, for a multitude of reasons. Including, most prominently, dragging the UK into Iraq over our 'special relationship'. Not to mention all the 'fat' and 'thick' jokes about Americans. Not saying I believe this, by the way, but most people here do.

Oh, and, pet peeve. England =/= UK
