I have to say, I'm a bit glad the boy died, at least he'll find some peace now. If he hadn't died I can only imagine the physical emotional and mental suffering he would have had to endure in the long term. The emotional pain especially, having the memories of cherished loved ones, mixed with the cheer of the holidays, combined with nightmares turned real, the world turned upside down. I wouldn't be surprised if he let himself drown. Brings tears to my eyes really.
