Realising that a lot of the feminist theory I've read tends to be 'radical' and in a lot of ways isn't ideal. Trying to get my head around cissexist language but have been told that terms I thought were ok ('female bodied' when referring to someone with a uterus or assigned female at birth) aren't. This matters to the people I talk with.
So it seems I have a lot of reading ahead of me, and also sifting which resources are ok and which will make me sound like a jerk. It's harder because I know that people affected aren't obliged to educate me and it can be poor form to ask.
