Right. I was clearing that up for Existential.

A few years ago, my grandfather passed. His life was being sustained for him. He had asked my mother to take him off the machine if it ever came to that. When she had a conversation with the doctor about it, he actually told her she was a terrible daughter and that she should ignore her father's last wishes if she loved him.

What has happened to the value of personal freedom? If you are not infringing upon the rights of another citizen, then I believe an adult should be legally able to do as they please with their own life.
