Wow...I can't believe how long this thread's been going! That being said, I'm going to email myself a reminder to sit down and watch all these vids, just out of pure curiosity.
Catch, it sounds like you would benefit a lot from watching shows like
What Not To Wear. Granted, it delves mostly into modern-day, "normal" clothes, but it's good for tips on what looks good and what doesn't on certain body types. Things like this helped me -tons- when I was changing my style, and now I can dress Gothy AND still get compliments from the "Norms".
Being Goth doesn't have to mean dressing like a crazy person.
