The Haiku Thread
I don't think there's been a Haiku thread so far. They could just as well fit in the poetry thread, but I think is better to make them into a whole new section.
I feel haikus are different than poems because, aside from the minimalist form of writing, while a poem must be pondered about deeply before the diamond in the rough begins to sparkle, a haiku just comes to you, and you feel it is a haiku.
Here's an example of a Haiku that came to me, and inspired this thread:
That which is not dead
Can never rest merrily
But can love instead.
