No, I think it's funny to see silly white people going along with it. I didn't say anyone should be offended, I haven't addressed Alan or Versus really. I was talking to you and other white ppl. I didn't talk over anyone, that discussion was already rounded off, to me anyway, and you're right, I haven't seen and am not aware of Jonathan's comments in other threads.

I wasn't 'told off', I was guided, I was with her for the next two years and it never really came up again. I didn't see it as being told off cause I don't have a chip on my shoulder about this shit, and because she wasn't quite as uppity about the dumb white folk as you, but it was enlightening. That said I haven't taken all she said to heart since despite being a BLACK PERSON she had no monopoly on race thinking so it's complicated, much like anything where people are involved
And yet you feel comfortable entering a place where PoC are friends with white people and routinely talk to each other about race, and just right off the bat assume its all white people approaching PoC being all like "OH HEY YOU SHOULD READ THIS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND YOUR OWN OPPRESSHIONZ" because you, yourself, like to assume you know better than everyone?

You may think your behaviour is different, I'm inclined to disagree
I forgot we installed that camera that lets everyone on Gnet know whenever I talk to a PoC so you can monitor and judge and compare notes.

I think you're coming from a position of white ignorance suddenly opened up to a lot of race theory without much day to day interaction with the people the theory applies to, I could be wrong but that's the impression I get, if it's not true then who cares
You like to assume a lot of things, don't you? I'm not going to go into my history with PoC, because I don't think I should use people I love and admire as a "I know more about racism than you" card in a pissing match with a smug kid who thinks he's entitled to everything, much as I joke about it.

Either way you're right, this thread's gone more off topic and I don't use this forum any more really for a variety of reasons so w/e, llow it
Thank you for so graciously giving us permission to talk to friends, bro.
