Ben Lahnger
Is it pronounced "longer"? Or does it sound more like rocket launcher?
More like "long hair"? Or does it sound like lingerie minus the ie?

You had it right the first time. It's patterned after the German professional golfer Bernhard Langer (which is pronounced "longer", but I added the H so no one would mistakenly pronounce it with a soft A.)
