Dean Koontz's Frankenstien, book one. Then I'll move on to book two. And then I really want to read Stephen King's newer book, Cell.

I'm reading Go Tell It on the Mountain by James Baldwin for our summer reading project. I'm not very fond of the book at all...
I really want to read more by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. I might also look up some Poppy Z. Brite material because I've never read any of her work...

A book called 'The Magic Kingdom' but I can't remember who it's by... but it's about this man who takes some terminally ill children to Disney Land in Florida as a sort of treat before they go. Surprisingly it's actually more light hearted than I expected.

I raided my favorite thriftstore yesterday and bought a dozen or so books for under $20. I'm going on a trip this week and need to be well stocked.
I thought I'd give Clive Barker a try, as I have enjoyed several of his short stories. So far, both novels I started of his seriously suck. There's no atmosphere whatsoever, and the gore is uninspired and boring.
Of course, both were written in the '80's, so perhaps he's improved since then? Any thoughts?
I also snagged a collection of short stories by Joyce Carol Oates published in 2001. God, I love her.

i found a complete collection of Poe's works for like 50bucks...so that's cool... 
and i've got a very old copy of dracula, i've read it a hundred times...and i'm reading it now...
