Shill Post your website announcements here. Anything that is blatantly SPAM (nigerian schemes, make money fast, etc) will be deleted. Actually, we'd probably keep the nigerian schemes around to make fun of it. |

Yeah, so I would dare say that within this community your version of Christianity is also a cult.

The qualifier to my statement was that in this community you could be referred to as a cultist - seeing as you are in the minority and it would be a safe bet that the majority of people here would see your religious practices as strange.

that is strange my religios practices is this
Jam 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, [and] to keep himself unspotted from the world.
which means I visit the fatherless, and the widows as a religious practice, does that really seem strange?
also there is a few other people here that believe the same way that I do

But what about James 1:26?
Quote:
Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
|
You didn't keep such a tight reign on your tongue earlier when calling people morons, huh?
Anyways, aside from that... the point of that verse in James isn't to get people to visit orphans. Satanists can visit orphans and widows, it won't mean that they will be saved. The point that James was trying to make (and that is shown more fully in chapter 2), is that faith must be accompanied by deeds if it is to be a living faith. Which makes me wonder about your initial post... because it would seem as though James is saying that asking for salvation isn't enough to be saved, that you have to do good works as well...

what james is trying to say is that you are justified by your works, but that is a justification between man, and man, not God, and man, james says show me your faith without works,, and I will show you my faith by my works, works has nothing to do with geting saved, and the bible can't contradict itself, so Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
see right there paul writes that you are not saved by your works.
also I guess I'm like job in Job 6:24 Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred.
also what about Jam 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; [it is] an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. ???
that just says that no man can tame their tongue

Knowing something about the Trinity it seems like Jesus is the last person to devote your life to. Jesus was the physical man/entity. God is God and the one who does everything and known to smite people. Christ is the connection between God and Jesus; wherein, God could speak through Christ. Ergo, worshiping Jesus is against the Ten Commandments and worshiping Christ is diminishing God's role in people's life or placing someone as equal to God. Yep, seems like the only one anyone should open their hearts to or worship is God, except, God gave everyone life. Basically anyone living already has God in their life, like it or not.

you forget that Jesus is God, and equal with God the father, the bible says that Jesus is God, and even Jesus says he is God in the bible, also not everyone has God in there life, we may have life, but most ppl don't have everlasting eternal life, the kind that God gives you through Jesus, God is only in the lives of those who ask Jesus to save them

Sure, spend you whole life looking over your shoulder and being pious for some 'eternal' reward that no one can prove the existence of.....

Ya, but the somewhat pride in acknowledging it is the surprising part of it.
