Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

I've been making jewellreez...
Mink femur fun!
A necklace that bites
Another necklace that bites
Seahorse ear-hangings (they're in pairs). I'll be doing these with ankhs and bats and snakes and shit when I get the right charms.
Materials included mink bits, surgical steel, sterling silver, azurite malachite, snowflake obsidian and onyx.
Oh and hey, all but the mink femur necklace (MINE!) will probably end up for sale on etsy in the near future, along with a whole lot of other adornments, mostly made from dead stuff. Getting my hands on the necessary amounts of dead stuff is my only obstacle.

Sweet, post a picture when it's done?
How did you mold the fimo into such realistic shapes?

I'd like to hope so
Here's another vaugely animal shaped skull, this will also be turned into a hairslide.
Squeak?
Just to show how big it is
And I have done some work on the other hairslide ( it's one of those snap open snap shut oval shaped ones, but about 3 inches long )
Click me for I have bones!

I couldn't ask people for money for them. People keep telling me to sell stuff ( my brother gets really frustrated with me about it ) but I feel far too guilty. I'll never be a rich woman that's for sure
I just make them for fun really. I have made some large-ish skull beads for Korinna which I MUST send. In fact I'll do that today I can.

Damnit, you're too lovely a person. Capitalism has failed!
How about swapsies then? I sure would love a fimo creation of yours (animal bones, skull beads, basically anything you make seems to be awesome), but I wouldn't feel comfortable accepting anything for free.

Swapsies I can do guilt free. You can tell the skulls ect aren't real close up though, if you don't mind that then I'll be happy to swap you something What would you like ? ( I'll have to make it from scratch as I don't have much stuff ready made and lying around ) "bird" skulls? Little bones? As beads or just whole for glueing to things?

I'd absolutely love a little bird skull! I've got absolutely no problem with the level of realism, and since poor Dorris the cormorant has been in retirement I'm after something a little hardier to wear in my hair.
Now the question of what I can make for you... The best I can do would be badges, patches, and/or jewellery.

Splendid. Easily done that. How big do you want it? Couple of inches long? And does it need a hole though it? If so where ( I'm thinking about where/how it goes in your hair ).
Badges or patches would be great. You can't get them in any shop round here. Utter shit. Is 2 or 3 ok?

No bigger than 2 inches would probably be best, and a hole for easy securing to whatever it ends up perched upon would be awesome, yeah. Yay, this is exciting!
For the badges all I need to know is which bands you want - you can look through the catalogue on www.myspace.com/batcavebenders if you like. For patches, again, I'll just need to know which band or image you want, and what size, etc. And I guess we might as well take this conversation to PM's now, haha.

I'm bored and I have thin leatherette-ish material lying about. Plus acryilic...and SGC is one of the easier designs to do I find, so here be a
PATCH
I copied the image of Andi from a pic of a flyer on their myspazz. I think the angle of his head is slightly off, but I'm not too fussy so it can stay that way. I can't be arsed to re-paint it
It'll end up on my leather jacket somewhere after I've sprayed it with some sort of fixative or sealant.
I want to do a Sisters one but that MR logo is a right bastard. I'll have to stick to the FALAA logo...

This rules!
That reminds me, this sort of pretains to DIY. A friend of mine who goes to college in New York graffitied a sign that looked a little like this one
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jynJazfG0P...chChildren.jpg
He drew a syth in the little person's hand and made it say "WATCH Sex Gang CHILDREN". Unfortunatly he didn't get a picture.
