I think I'm the smallest adult member on the forum. I'm a little amused.

My company is run by fucking morons. We are going to be renovating our recreation building for most of March, nothing too fun just all new floors and I think a lot of work in the locker rooms (mainly because they don't meet current ADA standards). During this time at the resort level we decided to close the indoor pool as it is in the recreation building and guests using it would not have access to the locker rooms (they would have to walk outside to use the bathrooms by our paint shop) and would be exposed to fumes from the work being done as well as the fact that the contractors would be going through the pool area to get to where they are working, even though the pool itself isn't being worked on, the GM, activities manager, pool & spas manager, and safety coordinator all agreed that this was the best course of action. Corporate has decided that this will makes guests unhappy (despite the fact that they can go use the pool at our sister property like 5 minutes down the road) so they have mandated that the pool stay open. I do not foresee this going well.

If you're self conscious about your hips, a swing dress is the way to go!
There's a kind of dress that we had at Sears in fifty different varieties when I worked there but now I can't find any example of it, gah.

Oh what about a bias cut skirt? they tend to flow over your hips, accentuating the curves but not clinging to the bumps? Well that's what a dress maker recommended for me years ago, because I'm an hourglass - boobs, short waist and hips. Tried one on in a silk/satin and I loved the way it sat and swished.
Got a free pattern on the internet to make one if you are remotely handy with a sewing machine. They take about 3m of fabric. That way you could buy a nice top?
Oh and swing skirts/dresses look friggin' awesome, although I'm wondering if you would have to do your hair to match?
I think I've seen a few other websites such as mod cloth (or clothes or something like that) for those retro 50's look.

Working in hospitality really has a way of making a person hate people.

Is it because people are ungrateful?

Ungrateful would be an understatement, entitled assholes who enjoy yelling at people for things that person can't control would be more accurate, but today has been filled with mostly people who are just completely unaware that people other than themselves (or their kids) matter. For example: I had to take a basketball away from a group who were playing catch with it in the very crowded pool, they even managed to hit an older lady, the mother of the kids yelled at me for ruining her children's fun and I could not get through to her that the risk of injury to other people outweighed was more important than them having that much fun. For fucks sake a basketball can do some damage if thrown hard, especially to elderly folks and young kids (and there were plenty of both).

Ugh, I go down for supper tonight, and ask who ate my leftovers from the night before, and if the plate with the green beans uneaten was my brother's. I get yelled at for being spoiled and told to shut up because she's trying to relax and focus on her schoolwork....
Less than a min later she is complaining to me, without me saying a thing, about one of her petty little disagreements with my father, and I ask her why she can't find a middleground. She yells at me to shut up, she's trying to relax and do her school work.
So I see shes watch a pbs special with Tony Bennet doing duets with other musicians, I remember that with her Tony Bennet Koss headphones (which she never wears because she hates how it messes up her hair but wont let anyone else use), came a free downloadable album containing all of the Tony Bennet duets being shown on the tv program she is watching. So I once again, as calmly as I can express myself, tell her about this. She yells shut up she's trying to do her homework and relax, and runs off to her room with her school stuff.
Crazy Bitch.

Ironically I did get some birds that wouldn't shut up last night. But, if I saw you standing out my window screaming at me, I think I would only laugh and then feel a little frightened at how you know where my house is.

Neither Toronto nor McGill accepted me to their programs. Fuck you Saya! As a Canadian I hold you fully responsible for anything Canada does to me!

C'mon MOC - I'm a fruitbat, I don't stand, I hang... but perhaps there is a bird conspirocy (sp?) going on, you know like the cat one (but the cat one is real).
Oh and for the record, I too would be scared if I knew where you lived because then I'd be pscyhic and to be honest if I were pscyhic, I'd use my powers to find out the winning lottery numbers, because anything else just would seem like a lot of hard friggin' work.
I got covered in shit three in three hours today. Babybat has gastro and boy has he been exploding. Going to run out of clothes and towels soon... hurry up washing machine/tumble dryer.
Crap, what is it with my spelling today... I'm in creative mode so I'm making up friggin' stories about everything and anything and not stopping for typos.

I hate makeup. Why wasn't i blessed with perfect features?
I have like...droopy eyelids on the outer corner so i did my makeup to cover it from lots of tips and tricks i learned. It worked but now my eyes look super far apart like i have some disorder or i'm cross-eyed.
Fuck makeup, i'm just going to wear a paper bag with holes cut in.

So I'm running a range for unit that's training on their machine guns. I guess they had 50 people shoot 4 iterations and only one person qualified. They said it was because of the wind. I know for a fact that the wind won't bother a 5.56mm round until further then 600 meters, which was their furthest target, but whatever. So they say they want to shoot at night and want us to put infrared chemical lights on the targets to mark them. So we go and set them all up, but when we get back, I notice they have a bunch of pas-13s (thermal sights) set up. So I ask this dumb bitch in the tower "You guys have nods (night vision), right?" she says "No. Why?" I tell her that you can't see infrared sources with thermals. She says "Yes you can! All the training manuals and my NCOs say you can!" and all I can do is stare at her and finally say "Okay. You're right. I'm stupid."
Because I don't know anything. I only have a GED and never went to college.

I just told my dad what you said about wearing a paper bag over your head because it was funny.
He asked me to ask you, "Have you considered a stand-up comedy career on the Gong Show?"
