There is a wicked S.A black metal band you guys need to check out. It fucking rocks the corpse paint off alot of live acts i've seen lately. And the lead singer is scrumptuous...
Noctivian...Check them out... I love love love them...

Also check out Zyklon and Job For A Cow Boy (if they haven't already been recommended)

Zyklon aren't very good and JFAC is deathcore (nothing like black metal).

Completely disregard those recommendations.

Behemoth is a good band but, at least today anyway, they are a Death Metal band. All in all, a fantastic one, but none the less. For the record, Cowboy Blowjob, erm I mean Job for a Cowboy, is actually a more or less good band, just not even close to black metal.

They actually run a male prostitution service within the band, and used to be called 'Blowjob For a Cowboy' before they realised that they were girly enough with their awful fashion sense and fringes that hit that their kneecaps and didn't need to make public announcements about their oral sex sessions with John Wayne lookalikes. As such, it was shortened to Job For a Cowboy.

What about 'Eschaton' or 'Hell Is Empty And All The Devils Are Here' for Anaal Nathrakh? I've only got Eschaton, but are the older releases better?

Only heard the old stuff, so donīt ask me, but I think they are one of the better "new" black bands.

I forgot my namesake. Stormtroopers of Death. Not a black metal band, they're crossover thrash, but they are awesome. Scott Ian rules!

Ah I love Black Metal
I really dig bands like Peste Noire, Alcest, Pestilential Shadows, Anarazel, Gospel of the Horns, Xasthur, Moonsorrow, Agatus, Fullmoon, Kvist etc. and of course all the classic bands from Norway and such.

Anyone heard of the Les Legions Noires...?

Behemoth is Death Metal *now*. However, I think Grom, Pandemonic Incantations, and Storms to Unleash are black-metal-ish.

Anyway, Abigor, some Agalloch, Bathory, old Celtic Frost, Dark Funeral, a little Finntroll, Emporer, Impaled Nazarene, Kult ov Azazel, Marduk, King Diamond, Moonspell, Naglfar, Necrophobic, Old Man's Child, Vintersong, and Watain are my personal choices.

They have as much merchandise as Cradle of Filth.

The whole genre has been made into abit of a joke now, though. Meh! I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

Speaking of which, did you see the latest issue of Revolver mag? The frontmen of Behemoth, Dimmu, and Cradel fo Filf on the same cover. Truly a sad day.

No, I didn't see it but none the less...that is pretty sad....

Aslong as Malefic from Xasthur doesn't appear alongside Dani Filth...i'll be okay. Now...that would be sad.

Yep, sure have, I quite like listening to Mutiilation when I'm in the mood, haven't heard anyone else from the LLN though.

And I reckon Malefic just needs a big hug and a trip to Disneyland.....his music is at times annoyingly gloomy
