I would pay for us to finaly have a gnet get together.
I would also donate some of it to my school district not because I like it but for the sake of the future students, however unfortunately 1 million dollars is not enough to get them out of their now 16 million dollars debt that suddenly popped up.
So instead I would just buy a few luxuries and then invest the rest while I'm going to college.

I'd invest in stocks and bonds. If ya play your cards right, you could easily double your money in less than a year.

But if I had to buy something utterly selfish, and material then I'd get myself a new car.

With the money, I would have to donate a portion to some children's charities and then probably spent the rest on a complete new life. I would buy new cloths a new home, maybe even a car.

Yeah, I think I'd do that too. But is one million dollars really necessary for a world tour? Unless you're planning to go on a luxury tour, I think $200000 is plenty enough. Then I'd put $500000 in a Singaporean or Hong Kong bank (economic freedom, they never check how much money you have and they don't ask questions) and invest the last $300000 in stocks.

I personally would:
1) pay off the remaining $200,000 of college debt
2) install new plumbing for my parents' house
3) make up for the vacation I ruined last year by taking my dad to France so he could visit his family one more time
4)buy a chameleon
5)put the rest in savings for wonderful things in the future/invest it/allow parents to retire with it

and to whoever mentioned spending some on pursuing an emotionally satisfying life rather than a fiscally satisfying one, I couldn't agree with you more :\

I would pay for college, buy a decent car, buy a house, get Lasik (my prescription at 16 is -5.25, and I would pay anything just to wake up in the morning and be able to see my ceiling), I would buy my mom her RV she wants, buy my brother a video game console, buy my sister and my dad something, and then I'd save the rest of it and watch the interest collect. I'd use a different sort of investment.

I would rent a large house for a two year lease.

I would purchase sound-proof panels to put on the walls in the basement.
After moving my band in, I would buy another takamine 12 string, A Nord lead II, a Korg Radias, a Korg Triton Extreme, a 4000 Watt PA system, three large diaphragm condenser microphones, a 32 track virtual analog recording station, a 300 channel mixing board, and a bucnh of other equipment.
Then I would live off the money until a huge project was completed that no label could ignore, and continue...

(throw in alot of Vodka, cigarettes, and maybe even some hallucinagens for fun)

I would take out 10,000 of it and put the rest into my mums bank account. That way our interest would increase and through that we would split it 60 40 and that way i'd get more!

Anyway what i'd buy is:

A Purple clay ocarina (Real rare material)

The whole majoras mask figure set

Bunch of retro games.

Some new clothes.
