Congrats, Babe!!!

Lena, sorry you're not feeling well, hun. I'm trying to let my husband rest as much as possible(he's sick too.) so I can work tonight. I really can't afford to stay home.

That IS good news! I am glad your ear is cleared up. I'm really excited about the new job, as I know from recent experience how much of an impact that can have on your happiness and well-being. And I love your happy dance!

My friend used to have this dance called the 'Mystical Dance of Joy'. You basically just moved your arm back and forth horizontally. Never really saw the point of it though..

I want to bitch about a little thing, and it's hard for me to navigate to the rant thread on my smartphone so here it is -

Why is it that people who get their formal degree in pre-k to 3rd grade education spend the rest of their lives talking to adults as if they are children? I got one today for job training and between being talked down to and having things repeated ad nauseum I am so sick of her!

I have her again tomorrow. Pray I don't strangle her.

well, actually, that's mostly the fault of her teachers, who taught her to always speak down to people and repeat things ad nauseum, as it's really the only way to teach little kids (not.) besides, she talks down at you because she feels that she is a trained teacher as well, and thus, automatically knows more then you.

Crom, you're supposed to be talking me out of strangling her, not encoraging me!

Most teachers make it a habit of repeating themselves because little kids are pains in the ass with small attention spans and must hear something to five times before it registers.
And they are condescending because most third grade and lowwer teachers are because they have to deal with little uneducated kids all day, most of which have over-protective parents who are condescending and must act that way because the kids will complain to the parents, the parents to the school board blowwing everything out of porportion and getting said teacher fired. All because you can't expect anything out of a grade schooler because they're still their mother's baby.

Ben, I feel your pain... I worked with a grade teacher (who was a waitress during the summer) who felt it necessary to brate the other employees for their lack of ambition in achieveing a "worthwhile" career. She constantly held her degree over the heads of the "lesser" populous and was openly insulting on far too many occassions...

I'd say bite the bullet and strangle the bitch.

Eeeewww, who the fuck throws up twice when they're depressed?

I do! This isn't fair or right, I demand to know who the fuck keeps breaking into my house?! For sting's sake. I've been having a bad year all around and I thought the suspension warning from the principal was bad enough, but this..... My Dance Dance Revolution mat.....Missing.

Ugh, I hate this life. What the hell am I supposed to do without my beloved DDR?

Finals finally over, but I've got this crazy residual stress build up and I still feel like I'm gonna explode...

I'm leaving town with Nivech at some time between 3 and 4 tomorrow, be back late Saturday night. I'll be getting my dancing/music/drumming fix that will hopefully make me feel less like exploding...

I'd gladly crawl under the bed with you Xng...I'm just afraid I'd explode all over the place, and that wouldn't be kind of me.

Good plan, I'm going to drag Nivech halfway to San Francisco and dance until I can't breathe and then, likely, pass out with the drums and hope no one steps on me...yeah...your plan might be healthier than mine...

Sanctus, yep, that's the conclusion I'd come to!

To EVERYONE ELSE who kindly explained the motives and behaviors of grade school teachers ... yeah, I knew all that. But none of it excuses treating adults the same way you treat 2nd graders. I shudder to think that the future of the youth of this country is in the hands of idiots who can't discern the difference or how to communicate effectively to people of different ages.

And I don't really want any more explainations ... I was just venting about how the bitch is getting on my nerves.

She better watch herself!

Demonista, I am so sorry this happened. I know it seems like a small thing to some people, but I have the impression that DDR gives you a great amount of happiness and satisfaction. In my life, it might equate to someone stealing one of my favorite music CD's ... the one I listen to when I feel down. This really sucks ass.

I hope you find or are able to replace it soon.

I was looking on ebay and there are tons of DDR mats and games available there (I know you don't want to have to pay for it, but it's an option), but I wasn't sure where you are or what system you have (ps2?). So I'll just recommend that you could look there ... but you probably already knew that.

By the way, your profile cracked me up. Especially your web URL ... hilarious!

With someone as lovely as you there, I'm afraid the temptation would be too great to want to move on top of the bed. And I have the feeling that's not what you need right now.

Although, if you had a box of Cinnamon Scooby Snacks, you might be able to keep me in line!
