Actually, it looked good in pencil, I just got the lines alllll kinds of screwed over in the inking process...concert+dusk+inking=catastrophe in general

I have fun experimenting with lines, it's only something I've really started having fun with in the last year or so. I tend to paint a lot more than anything and so I'm having fun developing my ability to effectively use lines.
something else done in a similar style was Little Sammy

Little Sammy is very dynamic. The dramatic pose works well and she's also, um, very kissable!

Kitsune: so it is inking work? Very well done. Doing anything by ink is horrible! I mean difficult. The ink tends to spread everywhere it shouldn't. You've got some nerve.

It is ink, over pencil sketches. It's a tricky thing to get the hang of, but I really adore the medium now that I've a better handle on it. I envy anyone who can just draw in ink. Now that is tricky

I've been sketching in ink during school for the last week or so. It's difficult, but I work with it in such a way that it becomes a much more flexible medium-- one (or two, or three) misplaced lines aren't going to show up enough to matter. I completed a rather good, in my opinion, portrait of a girl-- at her request-- within five minutes, and a full-body drawing of a friend of mine sitting nearby within a similar timeframe-- difficult, since he wasn't aware that I was sketching him and kept moving.

Inspired by the self-portrait in Paint thread, here's a paint version of Brian Viglione...

I like to draw in ink just to test myself...not everything comes out roses but sometimes I amaze myself.

True, and so is sketching by mouse. Although, if one is dissatisfied with a couple lines, they can be undone.

Sketch
I drew this . . . whatcha think? It's not quite finished--still workin' on it.
Click here --> Imp <--
Photobucket squashed it down--blurred out a lot of the detail. I'm not happy with the sword--need to work on it, like change it maybe. Suggestions would be nice!

I'm flattered you "instantly" like me. I'm curious to see your "earthquack"--tryin' to mentally picture what it could possibly be. Looking forward to your scan of it.

I'll gladly show some of my stuff, Photoshop and otherwise. But I'm not to smart when it comes to showing stuff, and the easyist way for me to do it is email. If it helps... my stuff looks better then poop but not as good as a hobo dancing and singing because he just got free food.

I'm trying to decide what kind of design I want on my band's flyers, albums, and what my logo should look like, aswell. We're an artistic darkwave deathrock band; any suggestions would be appreciated.

I like your avatar--it's from a paintin' done by Brom --an exceptional artist (my opinion). I'm interested in lookin' at your art. Email me--it's in my profile.

Abstract art can be fun to paint as it is to observe.

No ideas come to mind at the moment. Have ya any concepts you're thinkin' on--kinda a rough idea of what interests you and your fellow band members? Any examples of other's art that inspires what you're leanin' toward?
