A) Anarchy
B) Marxism
C) Capitalism
D) Religion
E) Goth subculture
F) Music (introduced me to the Tiger Lillies he did!)
G) Politics
H) Mexican economy and labor
I) Humor!

EDIT: oh, and critical thinking, the most important of all!

Fruit of the poisoned tree, mate.

If you learn critical thinking from someone who can't think critically, I seriously doubt that you'll ever be able to do so any more than they.

I don't have a problem with Jillian, he has valid points a lot of the time.
He can believe and say what he will, and it's not harming me or anyone else. If you don't like it, deal with it.

Though Godslayer Jillian has tried to range over every field of human politics, I nevertheless feel that something is missing. Even now I cannot define it. But it seems to me that his spate of words lack the human note, the spiritual quality of a cultivated man. He clearly has never read a single classic work, no single book on which the human spirit has left its trace.

And yet this spiritual dustbowl, this earthbound, ignoble cynic, calls himself a revolutionary, fancies that the cultivated Che Guvera would have found him a congenial companion, and utters his pert and trivial dogmas on the works of Marxism and Anarchism as if he had returned from meditation on Helicon.

Such, then, - if we can see past the decomposing intellectual litter around it - is Godslayer Jillian's mid. He is a complete and rigid materialist, without sympathy or even tolerance for those immaterial hopes or fears or imaginations or illusions which, however absurdly, cast a faint ennobling gleam on the actions of mankind.

One learns critical thinking by thinking critically about the things people say and do.

What you call those immaterial ennobling gleams could very well also be described as imaginary nonsense. It is difficult to have conversations about abstract esoteric unquantifiable concepts. Actual stuff that we can point at is a little simpler to talk about.

One thing (probably be the most important one) I've learned from Jillian is

Using elevated fancy words or full of 'mature' insults is GARBAGE.

Whatever is your points, just say it.

And that is something Helpmann is not capable of.

Helpmann is so good at using fine and mature vocabs, but most of them are extremely pointless and/or contained weak statement in an arguement.

And that is not offensive. (Which I find hard to accept)

That's the most, shall we call it, rational post you've ever written.
But, though you might like to think that, you'd be wrong.
