Not sure what her breed is. I just refer to her as a domestic medium/long hair. She's sporting her new hair cut in that photo. I had her shaved for the summer. She loves it.

My kitty would refuse to cuddle me for days, I'm not sure I could handle that.
Do you shave her yourself?

No, I take her to the vet to get shaved so that it's done properly. I'd never take her to a groomer to get shaved. She'd hate me for life if I did.
I can tell she's more content without all the hair when it's this hot outside. She also loves getting pets more than ever.

I took my dog to the vet and they told us she has an anxiety disorder and should get 2-3 hours of excersice DAILY!

Oh, my dog isn't fat, or even slightly overweight, she is actually incredibly lean, but she has energy enough to run for 3 straight hours, and then some, she has to much adrenaline.

My moms a groomer. It really isn't that devastating.  I think it's because my mom goes to the people's houses, so the dog (or cat...or ferret (she goes to one person's house just to clip their Ferrets nails) is more comfortable with it' surroundings.Also, this way, she can keep her prices down, because she has no overhead.
My mom once had to shave a Persian cat, it was not to happy with her. When she was done, the cat just sat there. We wondered why until there was a big lake on the table.
This is my Kitten, Odin, He is still really little.
My cat Yoko, She lives at moms house. She is the spawn of all evil, I swear, she hates EVERYONE, except my Fiance.

The reason I'll never take her to a groomer, is because she is terrified of clippers and I don't want to devistate her. The vet sedates her so that she isn't awake for any of it. She gets her teeth scaled as well.
