Yeah I'm almost certain it will have been used before. It was our first attempt at a song, and we've reworked it completely now, the only similarities being the lyrics and key.
EDIT: Not sure which one of the songs you mean, but the above applies to both of 'em.

Yeah. I know it's not original.
IT'S HARD TO BE BLOODY ORIGINAL WHEN YOU ARE 15 YEARS OLD!
I wrote it when I was 15.
Here's the link to the first set of lyrics.

I like the bass line on the second track. I like both tracks to be honest. I'm just pointing out that you shouldn't be talking about originality if you don't practice what you preach, to the absolute.

Hmm I was talking more about the lyrics rather than the actual backing music. I do my best with a band who's primary influences seem to involve Ramones and some really bad cheesy blues rock.

Who says music has to have lyrics?
Any ways, give me the bare bones of a track, with the guitar and vocals seperately, and I'll do them for you, because the sound quality is depressing me. Seriously.

Mozart was raised in a musical culture.
IT ISN'T EASY TO BE A MUSICIAN!!!!!!
Do you think that he found it easy?
Trying to write a song can be extremely frustrating, especially when you can't find the chords to fit to your idea and then you just want to smash your guitar against the wall.

hahahaha. ^^ truth!
Still, people here that exhibit creativity in any form, I like. Meanwhile, others who can't create to save their lives, spend their time tearing others down. Ha.

Trooth. Obviously, whingycookiecutters music is fucking terrible, but there's talent there if only she'd HOLD DOWN THE FUCKING STRINGS PROPERLY. And maybe not sing, but that's another kettle of fried asparagus.

I quite like your music. It's derivative, and your lyrics need a lot of work. Plus, you could sing at a lower pitch. It's pretty good though, or at least I like it. It's honest. Liking your music makes me not dislike you so much, so I guess I'll ask you, jokes aside, to look objectively at your situation and ask yourself whether you're making a logical decision.
About your music: try and be a little different. Hell, Neutral Milk Hotel work on about three chords and they're fantastic.

I just checked her page. Sound quality is too bad for me to really comment. Reminds me of me and my shitty quality recordings. hahaha.
What the fuck chord progression is she playing? Something around Em - Am?

Any song with Em in it immediately wins.

Yeah. I'd be inclined to agree. I love minor keys.

I love the key of Am. Neutral Milk Hotel's 'In The Aeroplane Over The Sea' is in Am and I want to hump that song.

A harmonic minor is a beautiful scale. I used that along with the simplest chord sequence ever for a sad film music assignment in Music. Ten minutes work met with standing ovation. Easy way out = pwn.

Hey. I was holding the strings down properly. The recording equipment consisted of a microphone and a recording device.
And not sing?
How fucking dare you.
If I didn't have a good singing voice then I wouldn't have been asked to join my school choir. I wouldn't have won the Burns supper singing competition against one of the most popular singers in the school.

If every musician took their critic's comments to heart, Tom Waits' career would've ended when Frank Zappa fans booed him off stage in the 70s. Music's not about living up to critics, it never has been, cool off.

I'll call you Little Miss Douche Bag from now on.
And I meant what I said. It's constructive criticism. If you don't like, it you're going into the wrong business.

Yeah, a dickhead like him telling me not to sing when he's basing it on a crappy recording that was done in a large hall.
I am getting them re-recorded. It's just takign longer than I expected.
