What´s wrong with being childish sometimes ?

¨Why don´t you act your age?¨

¨ADULTS don´t normaly do that¨

¨Nou, you´re a 5 year old child inside of a supposed to be mature 18 year old young lady¨

I hear that all the time. I know I´ve grown up, and that I should be responsable, but I don´t think I have to be ¨mature ¨
and a ¨Big girl¨ all the time. I know a lot about life, I´ve been through a lot of situations, and I know how to act my age when I have too, I just try to chill out, and relax...there´re people that think that everything in life should be organized, monotonous and unpersonal :s.

What´s wrong with you people!!?? Be creative!!

Sometimes it's all right. Just not all the time.

HP is right, as always. I get very silly sometimes, but most of the time I'm calm and quiet. I like just letting loose and having fun, as do most people..

Some people will always be disapproving if you are not exactly like them. I still hear criticism like that and I'm 28.

It used to piss me off back in middle school when people would say "Act your age, not you shoe size." It's like, what?! We're still children, why should we act like it?!

That, and my shoe size was higher...

I don't see how there is any rules as to what acting someone's age is. People are all different and act differently.

I usually start considering someone "childish" when they start acting with the ignorance of youth and not with the cheerful enthusiasm for living.

Ignorance isn't a child like state though, it's timeless.

I have never been told that before. I don't act like an adult, but I don't act like a child either.

I wish I did have a child like mind since I'm starting my new job at a child care centre in an hour. Fuck. Jesus fuck.

I know. Help me please.

No really I love children as strange as that sounds. I've just got an attack of nerves at the moment. And my swearing? Lets just say it is going to be VERY hard.

You can be mature and childish.

Like, examples...

Serious mature: "AIDS is a serious problem. We need to help 3rd world countries by giving them more birthcontrol and condoms"

Serious immature: "AIDS? That's all spread by f**s and they deserve to die."

Childish mature: "AIDS? I don't know much about it...sorry! Please, teach me? THANKS!"

Childish immature: "AIDS? Whatever, bro, I have better things to do..."

Haha can't really relate love. I tend to not like childish things. Just in my personality.

This makes no goddamn sense. I think you're confusing maturity with tact and childishness with lack of knowledge.
Really, childish and immature are synonyms.

Once again, your post and the face in your icon match perfectly.
