The 69 Eyes?

Has anyone ever heard of them?

They from Finland and they've been around since the early 90's.

They sort of sound like HIM, Danzig and possible a little SOM.

I don't think their music is Gothic, more of a glam rock feel, but its still pretty good.

Ha, I've heard of them.. I might see them soon, I'm not really sure.

I think it was two summers ago that I discovered them, because I was looking around for all types of Finnish bands, who knows why.. It was probally because I like The Rasmus at the time.

Another band I don't like. I think I've said this in another thread about them, but, they can't decide if they want to be the Misfits or the Sisters of Mercy.

Haha, we have already had this conversation. Haunted said (paraphrased) that they just want to be The Sisters of Mercy. I said that if they are SOM wannabes, they have a Finnish voice, and as so, they have a plus.

I like them... I love the male voice in such a low register as their vocalist uses, like in the Sisters of Mercy and Type O Negative. Mmm.

I dont like the 69 eyes, because they are "wannabees" and I dont ike the rasmus at all because Lauri (the singer) souns like a big. This is just my sentence but...yak...

I like the band. I happened upon them last summer. I think Finnish bands are in a unique catagory and can really only be appreciated on their own. One can hear most influences of the Finnish bands pretty readily, but it works.

I like them. I just picked up "Framed in Blood: The Very Blessed Of". I'm enjoying it; it's excellent music to get ready for work to.

Honestly, I don't like them. I simply can not get into them. If I want to hear super low vocals I'll listen to Deadsy's first album or Type O Negative.

They opened for CoF last week in my town. First response: "cheesy!" Second response: "Oh, but they're really cute, kind of like a gothic boy band!" Third response: "No, they're super-cheez. All the mall goth teen girlies will love them" (btw, my 30 year old grad school friend loves them too, so I guess I was somewhat wrong)
They had matching leather vests on with ankh symbols on the back, and they were choreographed. They came out on stage one at a time to the tune of a SOM song, to set the mood I guess. The crowd loved them. They made me laugh. CoF rocked though. They are kind of cheesy too, but Dani is cuter than the 69 eyes dudes.
