Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Not sure, but he was pretty scarce even before I took my haitus from this place. Probably got tired of the incessant abuse. I'll admit to tiring of it rapidly myself, and none of it is even directed at me.

My musical taste is everywhere. I think my intro to this forum lists Barenaked Ladies as my favorite band (they haven't really been for a few years, but I still listen to them quite a bit). Also loads of folk and 90s rock... and Lady Gaga. Honestly you can name pretty much any genre and I can come up with an appropriate artist to go, "Oh, I love ___________!"

I remember him saying that he had a pretty nasty injury at work, he posted a bit while he was recovering but it wasn't very frequent and I think he is still recovering (as well as looking for a different career path).

No, I remember all of that, but I don't remember him bowing out of the forum. He was released from the hospital and has only infrequently been on.

That's true but with his injury he is most likely still going thought physical therapy and that coupled with job hunting can take a lot of time and energy, I'm sure he will be back sooner or later, after all hardly anyone leaves this place for good (even some of those who have been banned time and time again).

Grateful Dead?
No, their name is kind of goth...
Gary Glitter?
No, he was covered by both the Sisters and Siouxsie.
Sonofabitch.
Bing Crosby, probably.

He was in the hospital for a while with a spinal cord injury. I came on here on and off letting us know how he was doing. I think he said he was getting physical therapy and working on driving last time?
I'll PM him and see if I get a response.

Peter Gabriel is sure not the most ungothy artist you can think of ! "Intruder", "Family and the fishing net", "Passion", (and many more) are quite dark, to say the least. I remember reading an interview of Peter Murphy in which he confessed his admiration for the man.
ungothiest for me : let's say Rubén Blades, or Tito Puente.
