Enduring Appeal?
Hey, I know thousands of people ask you all questions about writing stuff for school etc, however I am carrying out a project but I have always been interested in gothicism but the question I need to ask can't be found by just searching the forum.
Anyway I'll get on with it
The question I would like to ask and recieve your honest opinions on if you would be so kind is "What do you feel is the enduring appeal of the gothic culture and do you believe it has any relavance to music?"
Thank you in advance, also feel free to expand on your answers, I would be so grateful.

i'm going to be perfectly honest, for me, the gothic hotties are what appeals to me. i do like some of the songs that have been labeled "gothic", but i don't see the songs as being such, to me they are merely good songs.
Don't get me wrong, i'm not some fiend that trolls looking for gothic girls, i've always enjoyed things that had a tinge of darkness.
Yeah...just the women. lol

Gothicism?
What's that? A new political ideology?
Me, expand my answers? And do your work for you?
You mean you know nothing about it?
Why don't you make a school project (if there really is one) about something you KNOW about?

*sigh* I have had many many friends who have considered themselves gothic and enjoyed all aspects of the lifestyl, and I myself respect and agree with elements of it. I'm sorry if my poor grammar offended you as I have never been particularly good at english and I probably ended up making a word then, however I would kindly like you to offer your opinions on what makes the gothic culture last and why people like it.
I am sorry if I offended you in anyway.
Natz.

Remaining unimpressed and perhaps even bitter in the face of powerful and seemingly overwhelming topics has been cool since king Solomon wrote the book of Ecclesiastes. I guess it's part of human nature.
Plus, pale chicks are hot. Just check out Santarea's avatar!

The enduring appeal of the gothic culture? For me, it's the chance to be someone's school project at least twice a week.

Heh I've always been partial to wearing dark and my taste in movies and fiction has always leaned toward the dark side (teh dark side!!11) but since I hung out with just about every group growing up, I never considered myself gothy until I was much older.
Much.
That being said, no fucking way are you EVER going to get make-up anywhere near my mug....no fucking way. I don't care if I was forced to join a Kabuki group (or bukakkee) it's not-gonna-happen. If some winds up on me as a result of a heavy makeout session with the hot chick (notice I didn't say "a"?) then so be it. I don't mind a little glitter on my face as a result of hugging the hottest Texas export since...Jackalope Porn, but no way am I putting it on otherwise.
Also I agree with Tek and edible! ^_^

Dear Natz, do a search on any search engine for "goth with a sledgehammer". It should provide you with all the background info you want regarding the "subculture".
Goodbye.
