Jin that does actually look rather awesome, I'm kind of jealous.

In other news my boss wants us to dress up for the last week of October so I need easy/cheap ideas. I may be stealing that Persephone idea as I do have an old set of black sheets that could be turned into a stola (or toga if I'm lazy). Nothing can be too gory or too sexy as I'll be at work and there may be small children and it also can't be too ornate or restrictive as I will still need to be able to do my job. We shall see how this goes.

A nun, a scientist, or just a black outfit with some cat ears and a tail would work alright.

Good job on the nurse outfit! The nametag is a nice touch. We made something like that ourselves not too long ago.

That is pretty awesome, Jin.

Soloumina - I was thinking something like this:
http://www.artrenewal.org/pages/artw...127&size=large
but not so transparent, and with fishnet sleeves, and probably stompy boots.
or this: http://www.artrenewal.org/pages/artw...873&size=large
or this: http://www.artrenewal.org/pages/artw...087&size=large

I just have to find out how to actually wrap/sew the cloth so I can make the garment.

I am going to be the Misfits Fiend for Halloween this year. I made the black robe, bought a pair of skeleton gloves, and have had the Fiend mask for a while, so this Halloween is going to be awesome.

I'll do my usual. Wear make-up and say I'm whomever the closest tv or film character is.... It was odd at school once. Everyone thought I looked like a Buffy the Vampire character, so everyone noticed and placed me with the other people doing the same. Later, they started noticing that's how I always dress. !sigh

What a marvelously cynical idea! Props to you, sir.

Miss Jin, you seem to be doing an admirable job in creating the requisite grime and gore for your costume. Well done.

Apparently some of my school chums and I are celebrating the impending holiday with an outing to the local Renaissance Faire. I shall be raiding my wardrobe for suitable attire.

'F'you can get some sort of fine white mesh (and yellow that, too) you could put that over the other eye, and still see through it from up close. Actual bandage might work.

I've some experience with eyepatches, and you don't realize how useful depth perception is until it's gone.

Yah I though some type of light linen would work, but it looks kind of scary with one eye peeking through... so i dunno...

I'm not quite sure what I'm doing for Halloween. I'm going to a goth ball on the 29th, but as to the 31st in particular, I'm sure it will involve getting drunk somewhere at some point.

I wish I had a costume idea. I find that being goth means that the more conventional costumes don't really have much of an effect. So I'm at a loss.

I'm supposed to dress up for this art show later this month.. but I haven't the slightest clue as to what I'm going to do.. I've been working on the piece for it to the exclusion of other projects. Ah... well.. now that it is nearly finished.. I'll have more time to come up with some sort of idea that doesn't suck.

Ape - Pick a character (that has an easy costume) from one of your favourite paintings. That's always a good arty thing to do. I would like to do that myself one year (or for several :P)

Not a clue what I'm going to dress up as, but I'll be having a party, which kind of sucks up a good bit of money...so my costume will have to be cheap...likely made from things I already own rather than purchased.

I am gonna carve a pumpkin one of these days.
When would a good time be to carve it so it can last for Halloween without turning into a blob well before time?
