Daria is my idol

Hey forum. The name is Chavo. I'm a 23 year old black male, Gay and Atheist, so as you will imagine I don't have many friends. *thumbs up!*

Obsessed with Anne Rice and my poster signed by Robert Smith(but who isn't?). I live in the midwest. It's too damn hot in the summer and too damn cold in winter. I write short fictional tales. I have an unhealthy obsession with the idea of rituals.

Tuesday nights I go to the local Goth club, stand against the wall smoking my clove, and act like I don't want to be there. People always ask if they can take pictures with me, and I cant seem to help but always tell them no.

Often so indifferent, its predictably cliche. I read the forums have "settled" down in recent times. But it's okay because #Yolo right?

Yeah a lot of us have been posting since we were teens so many of us aren't really gothy anymore. I still love The Cure but they're pretty much the only goth band I listen to regularly anymore. And I wear colour XD

But welcome! Lots of LGBTQ here and people of various beliefs, so you'll be fine.

Is everyone jaded and indifferent now? Tell me yes, it will be far too fitting for a goth forum.

Hello and Welcome! Just joined here myself the other day (been lurking around for some time) and I agree with Saya. There are many people who have different interests and beliefs so you will be fine on here.

As far as the whole not having to many friends thing there really isn't anything wrong with that. My observation and I am sure with yours and many others on here is a lot of friendships are superficial. One person is just trying to use the other one and usually its just for some materialistic B S that they need to borrow. But they will always start off the conversation with "Hey how are you doing blah blah blah" when really they don't care, there just eyeballing the snow rake in your garage or what not. Sorry for the little rant. I guess I was just trying to say its better to have few friends that truly give a sh!t about you and respect your beliefs rather then superficial ones... But then again you know that, we all know that. Figured you would get a little amused by it.

I totally agree about the friends thing. I was really just being kind of facetious, I'm not a recluse or anything and do have a few good friends I can count on. Have you been lurking for a while Anubus? I've known about the forums for about 3 years but just recently decided to really join.

Personally I have been coming back here on and off for the past few years, although this past year mostly off (just been to busy). Just figured it was time to quit observing the party from outside the house and actually walk through the front door and say Hi to everyone.
