So guess who hasn't been around....

It was just a busy week is all, I'm not ignoring all you lovlies.

I started my job last saturday, and worked five days in a row. I got 40 hours, so here comes the cash flow in a week.

Although, having to write papers after I get off at 6am is no bueno, but I think I can deal with it. Besides, the schedule is light next week, and the job is EASY compared to my last main job.

Yet, this person two-hundred years ago, who supposedly spoke the same language as we did, would have a problem conversing with someone who spoke an identical language, four-hundred years ago. So, if we correct other's grammars, we are making an idiot of ourselves, because our grammar is not perfect.
Just because, something was considered 'correct' 200 years ago does not make it 'correct' by today's standards.

Logic like that simply astounds me.

Saya, sex in dreams doesn't always mean 'sex'. A lot of the time it simply means, sometimes, that you feel a sub-concious need to re-establish a relationship with whoever you're dreaming about. So don't feel weird if you dream about boinking a family member.

Unless, you're into that kind of thing.

In that case.........EEEWWWWWWWW!!!!!

I'm not sure which I think about more, sex or weed. I'm also not sure which I partake of more.

It isn't logic, Moonie, it's Icarian Fuego at it again. It's a lumpy mass of swiss fromage, and doesn't bear analysis at all.

*jumps for joy* I've been having chest pains and I was really freaking worried. But it's just fucking acid reflux! There's nothing wrong with my heart! I'm so happy! Acid reflux I can live with.

Prilosec is your friend.

That little purple pill works wonders for Acid Reflux.

They were going to give me some prescription medicine for it but it's super expensive. I'll be getting some Prilosec tomorrow.

Yeah, unless its severe or the Prilosec doesn't work, try it first.

I experienced no side effects from it after my last surgery. Plus it is much cheaper than most of the prescription meds.

Also try not to lay down right after you eat, and avoid greasy, fatty foods. That makes a tremendous difference as well.

Caffeine causes acid reflux? Uh oh...

I started drinking coffee around the age of four (not joking), and lately when I eat acidic food (especially onions), I get horrible stomach pains and I constantly have the taste of onions in the back of my mouth. I brush my teeth, gargle with Listerine, and drink hot tea. The taste and pain are still there the next day.

Maybe I should schedule an appointment.

Just a random thought on the Pepsi thing...

My English teacher drinks at least 6 bottles of Diet Coke everyday. It annoys the hell out of me. She has like 20 empty bottles lying around the classroom. It's actually kind of sad. She should start drinking something healthier (and tastier for that matter). I would hate to see her get brain tumors from all that yummy Splenda shit, she's my favorite teacher.

My wife has something similiar. A Heital Hernia (I think the spelling is right). Basically the flap of flesh sealing her esophagus from the acidy area of her stomach is weak and reflux tends to leak through. So they put her on Nexium, (which didn't work), Prevacid, (which rocked, but became too expensive), and finally Prilosec, which like someone mentioned, is a wonderful magic pill. Winged_Dreams, I am glad that you will be okay, but it takes about 2 weeks for the Prilosec to kick in....

More of a worry than caffeine is the sugar that's going into one's system from drinking all that Pepsi. Rotting digestive tracks all the way from teeth to arse is not going to be any fun, and the memories of yummy sugary drinks will be no comfort. Don't forget all that RD&C coloring...

Have a look here for some fascinating reading.

I'm probably going to be dragged to church for Easter... should I just be grateful I'm not being dragged to a sunrise service?

Really... I only have to go twice a year, at Christmas and Easter. But since I don't consider myself a Christian any more, it feels really strange.

Unfortunately, the people who drag me there at Christmas and Easter are my parents, who don't know that I don't consider myself a Christian any more. I'd rather deal with a bit of myself feeling awkward than be disowned by people who, despite their general conservative-ness (is that a word?), I adore.

Enjoy the fact that they are your parents and it's time with them. Come honest later, but live life like you're dying... in other words, if you'd regret letting them think incorrect thoughts about your spiritual feelings, tell them. If you'd regret telling them, don't. That kind of thing.

Just my point of view.
