Darkest of Greetings from deadeyes!
Greetings to All from Detroit,
Glad to have found all of you here via an introduction on myspace to this community.
I have always been interested in the "dark side" of life. I may not look and dress the part on the outside but believe you me, on the inside lies a very very dark heart and some twisted thinking which I relase via my dark dark and at times, demented poetry...hee hee.
I consider some of my very best friends to be those of you within the "goth" community. I am extremely interested in "real honest-to-goodness" vampires and one very special vamp is the inspiration for all of my vampire related poems.
I love to read true crime novels as well as dark poetry. Sylvia Plath and Anne Sexton are two of my favorite poets.
I enjoy watching twisted and demented films...such as Saw, 1000 Corpses, and the like.
Of course, my favorite music is loud and dark. I love Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Seether, Fuel, Nickleback, and much more along the same lines. People always expect me to be listening to classical music because of the way I look on the outside...yea right...appearances can be deceiving...
I am a college educated female working a chaotic job to pay the bills.
I adore animals....they can be soo much easier to understand then some so-called humans.
I took a look at some of your sample introductory questions and tried to answer some of them...
Oh...how would I like to die? Of course, I don't want to die a boring death in my sleep. It has to be something dramatic. All of my life I have had premonitions of dying an extremely violent death...The premonitions have usually had the weapon of choice being used as a knife of some sort....A dramatic death, indeed that would be, me thinks...
I look forward to getting to know alot of you here and reading some of your dark dark writing.

Yeah yeah, I get it; you're "dark" and "twisted".
Let someone stab you and then tell me if it feels pretty to die like that.

Not everyone here is dark, but Gnet is a great resource for "dark" writing. This is a widely varied community, as I'm sure you'll see.
Welcome to Gothic.net! I'm looking forward to your contributions.

Jillian...I did not say that I thought it would feel pretty or great to die a violent death such as being stabbed. Of course it would not feel good or pretty! I was just telling you what my long time premonition has been as far as just "how" I would die.
I guess in a way we all would like to think that our death would be somewhat dramatic so that it would be memorable and we would not be forgotten about. I certainly am not saying that I long to die a horrible brutal death....I am not that dark and twisted...v--v
Guess my answer to that particular intro question made me sound that way..and thus, your reaction to my reply.

Thank you for the warm welcome. From what I have seen on here since I joined late last night you are very correct in stating that this is a widely varied community. I am also glad to see that there are a variety of ages on here as well. I am a child of the 1950's myself...
I am most eager to read what the writers have to offer on here....especially the "dark" topics.
I will be posting some of my poetry just as soon as I can fully get a grasp of just how I do that. I don't want to mess up any of the existing threads. I found the area where you post if you have poetry...but am not sure if you create a new individual thread for each poem that you would like to post. I will go back later on and see if I can understand the process better. You should be seeing some of my work on here soon.

I don't get mad at people, I get mad at their words. As long as you don't use the word dark in every sentence I'm cool.

Nickelback is great, so cheers for that! I saw their concert recently in Grand Rapids, it was actually really good.
Oh yeah, and welcome deadeyes!

I welcome you to our humble abode... If I may call it one..
I hope to read some of your ebullient poetry in the future.

You know, eyes are the inspiration behind some of my short stories.

Hmmm. Probably people should do something revolutionizing while they LIVE, than wish for a dramatic death for the sake of their living memory. And besides, the world is so full of tragic and drama already that a dramatic death would only drown in the middle of other bad scenes.
Yet I'm not saying I'm not wishing one for myself. :>
Yeah and welcome, you seem like a real poetess to me. It's the way you talk. It's nice.
